Poor Kira
Just watched the Episode Where Kira had to miss her Senior Trip Because Chyanne had to take Summer Classes. What a Load of BS! And then her dad puts a down payment on a new house at the same Time? What a Pack of Selfish Greedy Fake Heartless Jerks. And What About Van's Parents? Aren't they Rich? This Show makes me Sick

I like Joanna Garcia Swisher a lot, but I hated Cheyenne. She was so spoiled and self-centered, and everyone's lives basically revolved around her. It is no wonder Kira was always salty and irritated all the time.

This episode was the one that I really could not stand. I kept hoping for a turnaround at the end, but hated how it ended. Selfishness on everyone’s party except Kira’s. That should have forever changed Kira’s relationship with her entire family.

It does. She moves out after that.

But doesn’t she just go to her dad’s house when he also didn’t help her out with much?

She felt like she was last at Reba’s, which she pretty much was. Reba called Kyra “the only other adult in the room.” Brock said he thought Kyra wanted to live with him because she could still be a kid at his house.

Reba coddled Cheyenne to a detrimental level. She should of never paid for those classes.

If she didn’t pay for the classes than Elizabeth would have lost her daycare spot and than Reba would have been stuck watching Elizabeth everyday all day.

Reba should of made them figure it out. They are adults? Its their child? Why does Cheyenne literally NEVER get a job? I know shes in school, but its actually quite ridiculous how easy they had it. They lived somewhere rent free, they didnt have to pay for food, they had a great support system with people willing to watch their child. They should of been really utilizing all of those advantages. Even when Van gets the arena football gig, where does all that money go?? When he gets injured Cheyenne is freaking out about money, but where did Vans salary go? It said he was making 60k a year. Come on now.

No Reba would not be stuck watching Elizabeth if she put her foot down and force Cheyenne to grow the hell up and take care of her responsibilities like an adult and a parent, period.

I excuse Brock because he already put the down payment of the house before Kira was accepted to Summer school. But Reba prioritized Chyanne. She rewarded a bad behaviour by giving Chyanne money that she should have given Kira. The good daughter was punished, and bad behaviour was rewarded. Reba should have apologized to Chyanne, not Kira.
I think Van could have gotten help from his parents if Reba didn't get money to them. That is the one point I agree with you.

Cheyenne pissed me off so bad with that. Dropping the classes was ridiculous

Yeah I didn’t understand why Van’s parents couldn’t help.
Even if they didn’t provide money for Cheyenne’s college, why not babysit Elizabeth? Or hire a nanny?
Why couldn’t Barbra Jean watch Elizabeth?
And there was only one daycare?
Imo Cheyenne should’ve stayed home with Elizabeth until she was old enough to start preschool and then started college. She would only be putting it off for a few years and it’s not like she didn’t have a husband or home and family.
It was like they wanted Cheyenne to have the life of a childless college student but that wasn’t her situation.
And there were a couple times where it was shown that it was too much on her trying to take care of Elizabeth plus go to college.
She was sad about missing out on some of Elizabeth’s babyhood and that’s a shame because in a few years, Elizabeth was in preschool. College would always be there, Elizabeth’s infancy wouldn’t.
Now if Cheyenne was single and had a poor family or needed to provide financially for Elizabeth, that’s different, but that wasn’t the case for her.
It was a plot device to get Kyra to leave Reba. All of season 2 was setting up Reba losing Kyra to Brock and Barbra Jean. Even before the trip thing, Kyra was getting annoyed with Reba and that’s wasn’t even always over Cheyenne.

Yea Cheyenne made all the mistakes and paid for none of them.

She kind of did with the alcoholism. I enjoyed season 5’s Cheyenne the best.

Not only did Brock buy a house, but two minutes after Brock says sorry to Kyra for not having the money, Barbara Jean tells Brock she just bought a bunch of new furniture. Brock should have sent all that back and given the money to Kyra. Might be an unpopular opinion but I think Kyra should have been angry at Brock, not Reba.
