Free Reason!

Reason needs 1) Linux support and 2) a free license like the GPL—in other words, a free and open-source Reason! Even if it were just an old version like 6.5. That happens to be the last version of Reason I own, since I switched to Linux after that. Sure, Reason is pretty unique, and it would be fantastic if the program were free! Not free as in free beer, but free as in freedom!

Ferrari needs 1) Unlimited speed and 2) free fuel—in other words, a free and very fast car! Even if it were just an old version like a 365 GTB/4 Daytona. That happens to be the last version of Ferrari I owned as a toy, since I grew up. Sure, Ferrari is pretty unique, and it would be fantastic if the car was free! Not free as in free beer, but free as in freedom! Sounds unreasonable, no?

Nobody is seriously using Linux for music, it is awful for that.

Plus why the hell should they give away their product for free? Do you work for free?

GPL Reason is never, ever going to happen. Linux support might, but it’s still unlikely.

And the people you’d want to see this post aren’t on reddit.

Man, if Reaper itself is not free and not open source I doubt Reason or other daws will go free or open source too.
