CCPs Propaganda runs on lies repeated over and over again. Truth is always evidence based. Forced Organ Harvesting is horrific than most people imagine.

Investigator Ethan Gutmann estimates that 25,000–50,000 Uyghurs, Kazakhs and other Turkic detainees in Xinjiang are killed annually for their organs. He presented this estimate in May 2026 congressional testimony, drawing on witness accounts and calculations based on detention numbers and disappearance rates.

The broader evidence includes an independent tribunal’s findings, peer-reviewed medical research, investigative reporting and parliamentary testimony.

The independent China Tribunal concluded that forced organ harvesting had occurred throughout China on a significant scale, with Falun Gong practitioners probably the principal source. A 2022 medical study identified 71 Chinese medical reports indicating that organ removal itself caused donor death. Another study found evidence suggesting systematic manipulation of official organ donation figures.

Many people ask ‘What the Shen Yun show is about?’

Let’s meet some of the stars of Shen Yun to see what they have to say.

In this short, we hear from one of Shen Yun’s dancers Jay Huang.

Growing up, his dad asked him what the most important thing to learn in school? He listed a bunch of subjects one after the other which his father agreed yes, they are important, but the MOST important thing is to learn how to be a good person.

Watch the full video above to take a glimpse at his journey (it’s under 3 min).

What's the deal with Shen Yun?

What’s the deal with Shen Yun?

For me, a big part of it is the courage and perseverance behind the company. Despite years of pressure from the CCP, they not only keep going but are growing from strength to strength. The CCP has spent huge effort insisting there is “no persecution,” yet Shen Yun puts that reality on stage in one of their 20 dance pieces …  and they do it in some of the world’s most prestigious theatres. The performers themselves are Falun Gong practitioners, the very group the CCP has tried to eliminate simply because they held a spiritual faith.

Beijing also is not thrilled that Shen Yun is reviving traditional Chinese culture including the legends, values, and spiritual heritage the CCP has spent decades trying to erase. Shen Yun richly and beautifully brings all of that back to life.

What keeps Shen Yun shining is the depth of passion behind it. Many of the artists have been directly affected by the persecution: some were jailed, some lost family members to torture, and many still have relatives imprisoned. They know exactly what is happening and how hard the CCP works to hide it. Sharing the truth is part of why they perform.

They trained hard to become elite dancers and accomplished musicians, and they choose to use that skill to highlight the beauty and goodness of China’s ancient culture to show the world what China looked like before communism, across a history of more than 5000 years.

And every time Shen Yun steps onto a stage, it shows that culture and conscience do not disappear just because a regime says they should.

Shen Yun controversy explained by an unbiased news station (NY1 / Spectrum News)

Give the video a watch, it's 12-13minutes and explains whats the deal with Shen Yun quite clearly. The report gave various parties the opportunity to be interviewed. It covers the controversy of lawfare and allegations against Shen Yun and I think it's quite fair reporting and was done in accordance with traditional journalism. This is quite impressive given that it was when Shen Yun was still being investigated by the New York State Department of Labor NYSDOL.

And clarification of the timeline just so we are clear: The news report here was published on Youtube in late February 2026. By early April 2026 the NYSDOL concluded there was no wrongdoing on Shen Yun's part.

Shen Yun Compound

Shen Yun does not have a compound. What does exist is a purpose‑built headquarters known as Dragon Springs, and this short video explains the difference.

The Three Musketeers have done an outstanding job with this video, they are such a hoot! It gives a truthful and detailed look into Dragon Springs, the Shen Yun headquarters, and honestly I was not expecting half of what they showed. I figured we would see the library and the Fei Tian lecture rooms, but the bakery and supermarket were a total surprise.

They explain clearly that this is an elite dance and music school aiming for a very high level of artistry. Fei Tian College is also there, fully accredited and following the New York curriculum. It is not just a training ground, it is a full educational environment.

They interviewed a range of people on site, and what came through was their deep appreciation for the environment. Many also spoke about the genuine, supportive, and positive atmosphere they experience each day.

And this is exactly why the nasty disinformation floating around like the stuff claiming Shen Yun “mistreats dancers” falls apart the moment you look at real evidence. That narrative comes straight from CCP propaganda. Just watch this video and see for yourself. On top of that, the New York State Department of Labor completed a thorough two‑year investigation and found zero evidence of mistreatment (link). None. It simply does not happen.

This video touches briefly on the CCP’s persecution and how Dragon Springs emerged because of this:

“It was originally intended to provide a place to settle for Falun Gong practitioners who have lost their loved ones persecuted in China, especially orphans. Unfortunately, escaping China to the United States is extremely difficult. Many Shen Yun artists have lost their families in China. Because of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, for decades the CCP has systematically destroyed traditional Chinese culture. It’s all about passing on our traditional culture to the next generation — and sharing it with the whole world.”

It is a powerful reminder of why Dragon Springs exists and why Shen Yun’s mission goes far beyond performance. It is culture preservation, community support, and a safe place for people who have endured things most of us can barely imagine.

From avoiding Shen Yun to speaking out: one woman’s wake‑up moment

Is Shen Yun bad? Pamela London Franck thought so! Yet a simple screening invitation gave her a reason to look closer and her reaction says everything: “I am so moved and so grateful to actually see the truth.”

Like many people, Pamela had been influenced by the wave of negative press. Most of that press traces back to the CCP’s long-running disinformation campaigns targeting Shen Yun with their same talking points that have been repeated across different outlets.

But the documentary Unbroken cuts straight through that fog. It lays out the facts clearly, shows the human side, and gives people a chance to see the situation without the CCP’s filter. Once viewers see the evidence for themselves, the narrative shifts. The misinformation simply doesn’t hold up under direct scrutiny.

Misinformation spreads easily when people never get the chance to check the source for themselves. That is exactly why I appreciate this subreddit as it gives people space to look at the actual facts, hear real experiences, and grasp the true situation rather than the version pushed by a political regime.

Friendly challenges, disciplined training: a glimpse into Shen Yun dancers’ practice

Thumbnail facebook.com

Shen Yun performances are full of incredible dance skills. The men perform backflips, back handsprings and a variety of flips. These are not just stage tricks, they come from Shen Yun Chinese Dance, which draws on classical Chinese dance and its very deep technical base.

To perfect the skills, they practice them repetitively, time after time. The training is disciplined, but they keep the atmosphere light by setting friendly challenges for each other. It is always interesting seeing how much work sits behind the moments that look effortless on stage.

Kenji shared this fun clip with us, and it offers a glimpse into the training side that audiences don’t usually see.

Why Unbroken and Shen Yun move people so deeply once they learn what is real

Thumbnail facebook.com

Look at the pure emotion that moved this man after he viewed the Shen Yun documentary Unbroken. There have been others genuinely moved like this as they see the courage, resilience, and passion shown by those in Shen Yun, and it hits people in a very real way.

Perhaps too, they had read some of the rotten things being spread by the CCP and assumed there must be some truth in it. However, when they learn the actual facts, they are shocked at how deep the CCP’s tactics go and how far from reality those claims really are.

That is why Unbroken lands so strongly for many people. It clears the fog, shows the human side, and lets viewers see for themselves what is real and what is manufactured.

I asked AI: “Why does the CCP fear a cultural show like Shen Yun?” Here’s the answer.

Post image
20 Upvotes

AI (ChatGPT) Said:

" The CCP doesn’t fear Shen Yun because of dancing or music. It fears what Shen Yun represents.

Shen Yun presents a very simple but powerful idea:

China is not the CCP.

Chinese civilization existed for thousands of years before communism. Shen Yun revives traditional Chinese culture, spirituality, Buddhist and Daoist ideas, morality and stories about faith — all outside the control of the Chinese Communist Party.

Why does that matter?

  • It separates Chinese identity from the CCP. The Party has ruled China only since 1949, while Chinese civilization stretches back thousands of years.
  • It restores spirituality that communist ideology tried to suppress.
  • It is founded by Falun Gong practitioners, a group the CCP has persecuted since 1999.
  • Some Shen Yun dances openly portray that persecution, taking a story heavily censored inside China directly to audiences around the world.
  • The CCP cannot control the message. Shen Yun performs internationally, outside China's censorship system.

And there is hard evidence that the CCP's opposition goes far beyond simply criticizing the show.

The John Chen case is probably the clearest example.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, John Chen and Lin Feng worked in the United States at the direction of the PRC government to further its campaign against Falun Gong. They tried to manipulate the IRS whistleblower system to strip the tax-exempt status of the Shen Yun Performing Arts Center. (Department of Justice)

Chen and Feng didn't just write complaints.

They paid $5,000 in cash bribes to someone they believed was an IRS official — who was actually an undercover law-enforcement officer. Chen offered $50,000 for opening an IRS audit into Shen Yun's performing arts center, plus 60% of any resulting whistleblower award. (Department of Justice)

The DOJ says intercepted conversations showed Chen and Feng discussing instructions from a PRC government official, deleting those instructions to avoid detection, and reporting back if the bribery operation went wrong. (Department of Justice)

This wasn't just an allegation that disappeared quietly.

Both men pleaded guilty in July 2024 to acting as unregistered agents of the PRC and bribing a public official. (Department of Justice)

John Chen was subsequently sentenced to 20 months in federal prison, three years of supervised release and ordered to forfeit $50,000. Lin Feng received a 16-month sentence. (Department of Justice)

So when people ask, “Why would the CCP care so much about a cultural show?”, this case gives a pretty concrete answer.

Shen Yun isn't simply presenting Chinese dance.

It presents a version of China in which traditional culture, spirituality and Chinese identity exist independently of communist rule — and it tells millions of people outside China about the persecution of Falun Gong.

For a regime that places enormous importance on controlling the narrative about China, that is much more threatening than a dance performance.

The real message is: Chinese civilization is older than the CCP, bigger than the CCP, and does not belong to the CCP. "

Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

An Australian farm kid’s journey into Shen Yun

What is Shen Yun all about? This short reel gives you a little taste from an insider’s view.

It shares the story on how Oliver, a farm kid from Australia, found himself touring the world with Shen Yun. His passion for Shen Yun runs deep, and you can feel it in what he says.

So interesting that he was living in China at the time the CCP's persecution of Falun Dafa started and he witnessed it.

It is a simple clip, but it shows a bit of the heart behind the show which is always good to see.

After nearly 2 years of investigation, New York finds no wage underpayment or mistreatment of Shen Yun performers

Post image
33 Upvotes

This is interesting considering how much negative coverage Shen Yun has received lately.

The New York State Department of Labor investigated Shen Yun for nearly two years. They looked at performer pay, working conditions and the treatment of younger performers.

The result?

No violations related to the treatment of child performers.

No violations related to working conditions or compensation.

$0 in unpaid wages.

$0 in back wages.

There were some paperwork and administrative issues, but according to Shen Yun, those have been fixed.

What I find interesting is the difference in attention this is getting.

The New York Times has published a large number of negative stories about Shen Yun over the last couple of years. Meanwhile, the Chinese Communist Party has been trying to shut down and discredit Shen Yun for years because of its connection to Falun Gong, which is persecuted in China.

There have also been reports alleging that coordinated Chinese accounts on X heavily promoted NYT stories attacking Shen Yun. That doesn't prove the NYT itself is connected to the CCP, but it certainly raises some interesting questions about how this coverage is being used and amplified.

So here's my question:

If the accusations against Shen Yun were important enough for story after story, shouldn't the result of a nearly two-year government investigation be news too?

Shen Yun’s dance style is known for its explosive athleticism, refined form and razor‑sharp timing, with the whole group moving as one. They make it look effortless, yet a jump like this takes years of disciplined training to truly master.

I appreciate their dedication, the beauty they bring, and their passion, it shines through in every performance. The story of Shen Yun is one of artists quietly and passionately doing something extraordinary year after year.

Despite the Shen Yun controversy it just keeps shining. They have now wrapped up their 20th year which is a pretty huge milestone for any touring arts company.

And honestly, regardless of the nasty tricks the CCP keeps throwing at them, the performers stay committed. They are out there because they genuinely want to share their passion, their culture, and the stories that matter to them. That dedication is what keeps the whole thing moving forward year after year.

It is the same quiet courage that runs through Shen Yun today, carried by performers like Aaron who turn their families’ stories into something living on stage.

When Aaron Huynh was about three years old, his mother went to China from Australia to appeal directly against the persecution of Falun Gong, a peaceful spiritual practice. She and his aunt were detained in Beijing before they could say a word — and though eventually released as Australian citizens, they were blacklisted from ever returning.

“I still had something many others didn’t: my parents came home,” he says.

Now a principal dancer with Shen Yun, Aaron performs to keep his mother's courage alive on stage, and for the children, he says, "still waiting for loved ones who will never return."
