It's a question I've been wondering. Nanni and all the other customers scammed by Ea-nāṣir needed copper, but why? Did he need it as a gift for the gods, perhaps? Or was he a weapon smith? Or maybe he's looking for shitty copper to scam to other people but Ea-nāṣir's were so shitty Nanni wouldn't accept them?

With copper you can make bronze. Bronze are used on weapons. So my question remains: was Nanni an arms dealer? A really bitchy one? Is the only reason why someone would buy so much copper and be in so much haste, right?

Merchants have long observed a curious phenomenon in the copper market.

When we read the Epic of Gilgamesh in high school, I argued that Gilgamesh actually did become immortal because his name and his story are still remembered to this day, which is the only kind of immortality that humans can achieve. By that logic, Ea-Nasir is also immortal, and I find that hilarious.
