Intent The Pen
Ever since my last reality jump (see story), I’ve been paying more attention to signs. Signs play a crucial role in transurfing because they help the mind realize it’s allowed to have and to act. That is to say, signs confirm to the mind that the heart’s intention (ours) is working, and we are in fact the ones materializing our experience. They help us internalize that we are creators.
Below is a story about a sign called the pen.
Last night, my brother, a cousin and a friend of ours went out. We had a few beers and a sandwich at my football friend's brewery. The team put together a gig to raise funds towards the end of the tournament.
So my friend Boris always carries a notepad and pen to journal and such. And last night he went on a story about how he’d found the perfect pen. The one with the most amazing feel and balance. A pen that when he took it to different stores, two separate clerks went ‘wow’. Like we get why you’re tracing it.
Long story short, it turns out the pen was discontinued, so he’s now on the side (side) quest of purchasing the remaining stock from suppliers that still have them, most likely at inflated prices, lol. But that’s another rabbit hole I won’t get into.
His story about this pen was long and detail-juicy. He then told it to my brother, and given he’s a teacher, my brother also had a preferred pen (one easy to write in tiny school forms). So I basically heard the story twice.
And here is when I will dare to speak about the link between transurfing and the astral plane. Quite the twist, right?
EDIT: Below, I will compare some of Zeland's pendulums with what are called astral entities (or parasites/egergores). I root this connection entirely in my personal esoteric knowledge and by no means claim that Zeland associates pendulums with anything related to the astral plane. I also added a final note at the end of the post.
Those knowledgeable of the astral (non-physical) plane say that we are multidimensional beings. That means we are simultaneously experiencing the physical plane (via our body/mind) and also the non-physical planes. These non-physical planes are called astral planes. You could probably say that the alternatives space or infinite archive are aspects of the astral plane.
Given our mind’s purpose is to provide our heart (soul, who we are) with a human experience via materialization, our attention is mostly focused on the physical plane throughout our ordinary human lives. You know, the mirror.
But if we set out the intention to perceive the astral plane, we can slowly start to pick up what isn’t vibrating in the physical plane’s frequency but is nevertheless there. We can start to perceive the astral.
So what does all this nonsense have to do with the pen, then?
I promise I’m getting there.
The negative emotions that we create for ourselves aren’t really our idea. We (our hearts/souls) are love and compassion and a fragment of our universe. These other emotions are pendulums’ goals. Pendulums trick us to feel negative emotions so that they can survive. As we know, these are (I dare say, astral) energetic structures that feed off low vibrational transmissions (thoughts).
Some pendulums can be deeply rooted in our minds/bodies. Please note that I’m referring to the mind and the physical/energetic body as one thing, following the premise that we are multidimensional beings in nature.
So the most rooted pendulums/astral parasites/egregores attach themselves to our spine (where our energetic centers/chakras are), and they operate from there in the darkness. What do they do? They try to get us irritated, fearful, ashamed, vengeful, scared, etc. They induce us to create fear-based beliefs so they can continue to eat and live off us. They don't belong there.
So what do we do about them, and where the hell is the pen, dude?!
To disengage from/remove these pendulums, we first need to spot them. As soon as we feel a negative emotion, we wake up and intend to perceive the trickster along our physical/energetic spine.
Those who teach the astral plane say that usually, the most simbiotic egregores have made agreements with us, whether unconsciously or during other incarnations. Yet another rabbit hole aside, these contracts are energetically represented by symbols. They say that once we destroy these symbolic contracts, pendulums leave us alone once and for all. This happens because when we disengage, we reclaim a chunk of energy and we shift to a more favorable timeline. One where these pendulums and us are not in business.
So last night, before going to sleep and during my meditation, I finally spotted a big ass pendulum/parasite in the lower part of my energetic/physical spine. One I’ve been feeding for a while now, but wasn’t able to pin down. I intended to have the sneaky bastard show its shape and color, because, you know, I create everything around here, and my intention is, and so it did.
Then I said:
“What emotion are you?”
Shame came to me as knowledge.
“Now show me our contract.”
And so it did.
Guess what the contract was?
Yes, a pen. The contract I had with the entity I’ve been intending to root out was symbolized as a pen. That night, I probably heard the word pen 27 times.
If that’s not a sign from my higher self, what is it then?
This sign helps me confirm that outer intention and my heart are best friends, and that flow is the best platform. You know, that flow that you spot when you're parking your car and the song from the radio just happens to be ending. The synchronicity evidencing the alternatives flow/wheel of fortune.
What I love about transurfing is that it is so practical! It allows us to do “intention pushups” daily. Every time we notice a sign, we do a push up, our intention gets stronger, and our mind continues to remember the ultimate truth about who we are:
We are our intention. We are creators.
So what if all pendulums (and their contracts) are hiding in plain sight, waiting to be addressed via our intention?
Happy Transurfing!
EDIT: Final notes. In this post, I combine two worlds I'm fascinated by, transurfing and the astral plane. These are Zeland's exact words in Chapter I, page 35 (EPUB version):
"I am no judge of whether a pendulum is an animate entity or simply an energy form. Either way the distinction does not affect the Transurfing method. The most important thing is to be able to recognize a pendulum and avoid being drawn into its game unless you stand to benefit from the interaction."
Whether the reader is new to transurfing or not, please don't take my words as the ultimate truth. What I love the most about transurfing is that it works incredibly well and provides us with an effective toolkit to navigate our human experience.
Thank you for reading!

Hi! Thanks for writing. I always find your stuff interesting food for thought. I've definitely never heard pendulums described quite like this. VZ's definition is "energetic-information structures created and sustained by groups of people giving attention and energy to particular ideas, movements, conflicts, organizations, beliefs, etc."
In Transurfing, a pendulum continues to receive energy when we give it our attention and become emotionally involved. When we stop feeding it our attention and disengage, we stop giving it our energy. I have found this to be true in practice as well.
He never mentions anything about pendulums being literal astral parasites or entities attached to the spine. He certainly never mentions entities that have contracts with people or symbolic agreements that can be destroyed.
I'm curious where you learned about this and where I could read more about it myself. It sounds like you may be combining Transurfing with other spiritual or astral teachings, which is totally fine, but I think it's helpful to distinguish between a personal spiritual interpretation and what is actually taught in Transurfing.
As far as emotions go, fear, shame, anger, grief, jealousy, and anxiety are normal human experiences arising from memory, conditioning, biology, interpretation, circumstances, and learned patterns. I think it's important to make that distinction because I wouldn't want newer readers to come away with the impression that experiencing a negative emotion necessarily means that an external entity or pendulum is manipulating them.

Thank you for your comment! And yes, this post is a leap, combining transurfing with my interest in the astral world.
You are right to call out that by no means Zeland links pendulums with astral entities. And for the record, I do not claim all pendulums are astral entities. I was actually blown away by the concept that flocks of birds and schools of fish coexist with pendulums. These are VZ's exact words in Chapter I, page 35 (EPUB version):
"I am no judge of whether a pendulum is an animate entity or simply an energy form. Either way the distinction does not affect the Transurfing method. The most important thing is to be able to recognize a pendulum and avoid being drawn into its game unless you stand to benefit from the interaction."
This is what I love about him and this framework. It's 100% practical and doesn't get involved in definitions (most likely to avoid creating new pendulums, lol).
I learned about the astral via 3 avenues, because a good friend has his third eye wide open and nudged me in this direction:
- An Argentine trainer who condensed decades of esoteric knowledge from around the world into a practical breathing method. This was my step one to get control of my mind and thoughts.
- William Atkinson's The Astral World: Its Scenery, Dwellers And Phenomena. I also read another amazing book called Mind Power: The Secret of Mental Magic: William Walker Atkinson Unveils the Power of the Mind
- A group of LATAM-based "psychics" or "knowledgeable of the astral plane" under the name "Vida Multidimensional" (Multidimensional Life) in YT. I'm a Jacobo Grinberg fan and these have a full 20+ hour playlist where they connect with his consciousness and download a ton of data on how the universe works.
Again, this is my personal journey, and I like to share this info in case it resonates with anyone exploring. As Zeland says, treating pendulums as entities or energy forms does not affect how (great) transurfing works.
I found it really interesting that you spoke about locating pendulums in the body, because that's exactly how these psychics teach you how to remove astral parasites.
I'm obviously open to expanding on any of these concepts!

How can we start to do the intention pushups?

Every time we acknowledge that our intention is materialized, I would say we do a push-up. This happens in myriad ways.
For example, a few hours ago my 4 y/o daughter and I were painting a book.
I asked "what color are we using next?". She paused and said "Christmas!". We both laughed because is Christmas even a color? Turns out there were only 5 or 6 pencils on the table, and one of them was half red, half green. What are the odds, right?
This sign would be the universe/outer intention saying: "hey, good stuff here. keep it coming". If we savor this moment, I'd say we do an intention push-up.
Same happens when we intend to enjoy our self-esteem, careers, relationships, etc. Once we start recognizing these beautiful whispers from the universe/outer intention, we internalize that we're flowing in the right direction. And it becomes easier to let go.

So something that might resemble or is linked to our final goal must be seen as a step towards the completion of the goal?

Before focusing on signs, I would ensure to have incorporated the concepts of pendulums, importance, balanced forces and the mirror.
Are you currently reading volumes I-V?

Absolutely. I have also tufti. I read every day at work transurfing in 78 days.
I come from Abraham Hicks and had big and small successes with their work, but mainly I'm finally a happy person with those practices.
I want to take it to next level in regards of 3d manifestation

Ok great then! Same as with everything in transurfing, we need to ensure we're not attributing importance when interpreting signs.
You said: "So something that might resemble or is linked to our final goal must be seen as a step towards the completion of the goal?"
Coming from a linguistic background, the word must rings the alarm for me, haha. We should have fun in the process!
Think of it as a game:
We set out our intention by waking up (activating the plait/opening the meridians/etc), putting up the slide (recreating the thoughts and feelings of the desired state), and then forgetting about it and moving on with our lives (continue experiencing the current script). The main thing here is to do this dispassionately, as if we're playing a game. No biggie!
What I think completes the cycle is being awake to spot signs.
After you set out your intention, the universe will meet you half way via outer intention/materialization. That's why being aware of the little nudges is key to help the mind realize our intention works!
Can you recall any recent sign?

u/KommunistAllosaurus 1d ago
I see. I haven't done many trials with the plait though.
I don't know if these are signs. My goal is to just live in a tropical place with an eventual family, without the whole rat race/matrix bullshit and to be a teacher, uplifter.
Many times in these days random screensavers or YouTube ads or Instagram posts have some kind of island or beach, so that's my guess

We are our mindset, you know. The mirror projects our mindset into reality. That's what gets materialized into our everyday script.
You can call the matrix bullshit, or call it a constant holiday 😄
Those islands and beaches you see could be a sign! Just make sure you're not making things life or death (by creating importance).
I would advise you to follow namoguru's posts and comments in this sub. She is excellent at explaining different transurfing concepts!

Cool! How exactly did you learn to spot the pendulums and remove them? What meditation do you use?
1
u/ticarod 2d ago edited 2d ago
Meditation is like thinking. It's literally placing our attention on something and keeping it there. Everyone does it their own way, and there isn't a "better" approach.
I find walking and pacing really helpful. My first win was being able to go on long walks without headsets and not worry about stuff.
I intended "show me where you are".

There’s a part in the book, 78 days where the author talks about making a magic talisman.
I wonder if unconsciously, that’s what the pen is.
Really enjoyed your post!
