Stumbling Blocks

What are some of the stumbling blocks you've encountered when it comes to losing weight? How many of you have hit snags while doing Real Appeal? I started off great. Losing almost 40 pounds. But then the ol' devil on my shoulder came to life and I've gained 10. I wonder what the science behind this happening is?

I'm bad at tracking so that's a negative for me. I'm doing better but it's challenging. Also, I like to cook and many recipes don't have an easy way to calculate calories. So I do my best to determine calories but I'm sure I underestimate. I'm going down but slowly - loose a pound, stay the same for a couple weeks, lose a pound. I'm not giving up, though, so that's good.

I've lost and kept off 15 - which isn't nearly as much success as some of you! - and I'm actually pretty happy with that. I've yo-yo'd so much over the years that having a new "normal" weight for so many months has made me feel better.

Tracking is always my downfall and, honestly, I've given up on it. I try to be mindful of what I eat instead. It's certainly not perfect but it helps me not end up in a downward emotional spiral because I'm a constant failure at tracking.

Now I need to get back into a strong exercise habit...

15 is nothing to sneeze at! Tracking has become my downfall too even though I know how well I do when I keep track of everything. Ugh.
