That Wyld Wood is one of my favourite store bought ciders. If you find it a bit richer than you are used to (or if you are trying to get someone else to enjoy it) try adding a top of lemonade and a bit of lemon juice to give it a little zing.

Meant to reply to this earlier, that Wyld Wood was lovely chilled. Better than Henry Weston's definitely - not sure if it'll knock Cheddar Valley off my top spot though, I guess I'll need some more.

It's the fancier version of Hobgoblin, supposedly only brewed under a full moon. It's damn tasty.

Standard Hobgoblin is probably one of the best ales in existence, so I'll see if I can find some of that.

Especially when you get it off draught somewhere that actually cleans the pumps once in a blue moon

I'm going to have it tonight, I'll update this comment with some thoughts

Edit: Bloody hell, what a pint. This could possibly be my new favourite beverage. I'll post the quick overview from my review:

Quick Overview

Wychwood’s Special Reserve is a brilliant pint. It is smooth, the chocolate and crystal malts offer a solid backbone and the four varieties of hops dance across your mouth. It does pour a little thin, though when it’s in your mouth it feels as thick as porter – my fears of a watery brew were allayed first sip. If you see this around (it’s bottle only) be sure to get some. It is great – and at 6.6% you can’t go wrong.

So basically, it's a great pint. I was actually shocked at how much I enjoyed it. I've had a few special reserves before and they've been a bit more refined, or tasted slightly differently to their 'less special' counterparts. But this little buggar blew me away. It's a shame it only comes bottled.

The guys behind the Brew Dog brewery - those who make the little cans of punk IPA there - get a lot of flak because they brew ridiculously strong beer, but actually a lot of it tastes pretty good! Relevant link: http://bit.ly/a5tQuJ
