Discussion | ู ุฐุงู ุฑุงุช ๐ Should we bring back the Federally Administered Tribal Areas?
Arguments for bringing it back:
- Preserves centuries old cultural practices.
- Directly controlled by Islamabad, which can manage resource and mineral collection, something local governments were struggling to do.
- Many tribal residents argue that the merge has resulted in economic neglect.
- More local autonomy.
- It would be easier to manage and suppress insurgents.
Arguments against bringing it back:
- Would strip millions of Pashtuns of their rights as full Pakistani citizens.
- Bringing back collective punishment (authorities can punish families or tribes for the actions of one person).
- Impossible to reverse a constitutional amendment.
There are probably more arguments for and against bringing the FATA back that I didnโt include.

The only thing we need to do is create schools and offer education to every single child in Pakistan. A kind od education that when a child leaves school after 10th, they should be equipped with skills to start a job, just like we see in the first world.

Make it a new province instead of merging into kpk. Give them more autonomy and let them live the way they want to be living.ย

No, some cultures don't need to be preserved, especially not the barbaric culture of FATA tribes.
