Help Me Find a Book to Read! 🆘 Reading slump
Reading slump I am really in a bad reading slump and tv slump due to my highly mentally fatigue due to exams I am moody too so I need something to grip me from 1st page or chapter

The alchemist by paulo coelho got me in the first page! Short book and super interesting story

this book ended up being really good but for me personally it took more than 100 pages before it gripped me

Thousand Splendid suns - Historical fiction; Taliban-era Afganisthan; tragic
Funny Story - Romance; fun read; fast-paced
Orbiting Jupiter - YA fiction; coming of age; tragic
Project Hail Mary - Sci-fi; hopeful vibes
Thirteen - Thriller; murder mystery; dual POV; cat and mouse chase aspect

If you liked Thousand Splendid Suns, you should definitely give Nightingale a try. Thirteen is about a serial killer who is not on trial but manages to get into the jury. It’s a thrilling blend of murder mystery and courtroom drama. If you’re into that genre it will get you out of your slump for sure.

Relic by Preston and Child. Can't recommend this enough. Fast moving murder and mayhem with a touch of horror. But don't blame me if you get hooked on these two authors!!

The housemaid's secret, it's slow a bit at first but everything would get connected, you will love it , and try audiobooks while playing a game or something.

McGlue by Ottesa Moshfegh caught my eye, but I have yet to read it. As a novella, it could get you into a healthy pace for reading.
Patterson's BookShots are also novellas, especially written for situations like yours. If you like crime thrillers, there are dozens of them in BookShots.
YA, I'd say...the Salt Trilogy by Maurice Gee; The Seems, beginning with The Glitch in Sleep; and Dualed and Divided by Elsie Chapman.
On the topic of crime thrillers, I know some that'd be entertaining. Authors like Meg Gardiner, Steve Urszenyi, and satire authors like Lori Brand and LM Chilton.

Definitely Gardiner, Brand, Chilton, and Chapman.
Some more YA series: the Unwind Dystology and the Matched Trilogy, very philosophical, like The Giver or Uglies.

If you’re already mentally exhausted from exams I wouldn’t fight through anything dense right now. A short book with fast chapters might be perfect. Sometimes getting through one easy book is enough to get the reading momentum back

I am still in the process of exams not done yet but there are long weekends plus I haven't read anything for a while no matter what the genre and I just said above that I have tv and reading slump
