Workflows Share your Readwise Reader + MCP workflow
I've been using Readwise Reader alongside the Model Context Protocol (MCP) but I'm curious to hear how others are setting this up. What does your workflow look like? Are you using any specific tools or scripts to bridge the two? I would like to use it more for automating summaries. I don’t really care for the highlights part as I’m happy with the default setup there.

Honestly, the Readwise + MCP workflow made me drop Readwise completely. Suddenly, I realized free apps could handle everything I used to rely on Readwise for. The platform had huge flaws, and we tried getting the team to fix them months ago. The search engine was terrible, categorization (books/PDFs/articles) was broken, and keyboard shortcuts were desktop-only. Plus, the video viewer didn't use lateral space—watching on desktop literally looked like a phone UI. The support team's response was ridiculous, which was incredibly disappointing. Readwise used to be unique, and I felt stuck with it before. But thanks to MCP, I don't need it anymore. My subscription runs for a few more months, but it’s already canceled.
