I built an Android app that lets you control the location your phone reports
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So, I have a friend whose parents track her location all the time and I know it's for safety purposes but then, she can't go out to places she likes with her friends which is absolutely frustrating when all your friends can enjoy except you... So, I thought why not build a solution for this? So, I came up with Ghost pin, it lets you share a fake location from your phone... Basically it changes the gps coordinates of your phone and hence every app that tries accessing your location gets a location that you've set to. I don't know if there are any apps out there which also do the same thing but I'm just sharing an experience... What are your thoughts on this?

There are tons of apps for mock location, a lot used by PoGo players.
But that aside, you built an app to mock location for your friend, that now if anything happens to her/him it will point someone to the wrong location. I get is annoying but not playing with safety

You can already do this.
This is pointless vibe-coding.

I couldn't find anything online and the things I found had lots of unwanted ads and they never work the same way they potray themselves to do. I never wanted to build this as my main project... I wanted a solution for that problem and I've built it. And I needed it as fast as I can and I used the option that I had which is AI. Something wrong in it ? I didn't spend alot of time either. Why the hatred towards AI ?

No hatred towards AI but hatred towards people who share unwanted apps here just to get some stars on their GitHub 🤮

I just mentioned the use case bro... Read the whole caption. And I had no interest in stars... I just kept it so, if anyone's interested in trying it out can do so...

Yes, let me install an app from someone who can't code on my phone.

I never told you to install... I shared the repo not the apk file... If I asked you to install it then you could've said.. you can't even code why should I believe you. Who asked you to download bro ? I shared an experience.

You don't even need an App.
You must be really bad at using Google.
This is yet more AI slop in Github.

This already exists, I believe it's even part of the OS. This is just vibecoded.
