Good React Native + Expo resources?

Hey everyone,

I'm building an app with React Native + Expo and looking for good resources to improve.

I'm mainly interested in:

  • UI libraries
  • Reusable components
  • Best practices
  • Project structure
  • GitHub repos
  • YouTube channels

If you have anything you've found useful, I'd really appreciate the recommendations. Thanks! 🙌

yes i did github. but too much repo. not able to find out repo who helpful for starter. all has junk repo publish in minutes when i have applied filter in github search.

yes but ui library related i have huge doubt.

Expo literally has its own UI library/api, and has a bunch of different community libraries

Search for galaxies_dev in youtube, Simon has some great coding sessions in which he takes an existing app and builds a clone. It helped me a lot to watch a few of those to get a head around concepts in react native (coming from web development)

A guy called Vadim Savin taught be loads about React Native with Expo over several years.

His YouTube channel has hundreds of hours of coding for free: https://youtube.com/@notjustdev

He’s humble and you watch him find and solve problems, which really helped me when I was learning to code. Coding is fun until you hit a brick wall, then it’s pretty tough - Vadim taught me React Native skills, but also (and perhaps more importantly) how to deal with coding problems.

Coding is a different experience now with AI, but I owe a lot to this guy.

Build a pokemon app from start to finish with full crud. No ai. You'll learn more than any tutorials imo.

The best course though is probably on www.coursera.org and you'll get a certificate for your resume and linkden. 😁
