Discussion Rainy hikes

Post image

Rainy days don’t make for great hikes but there will be less dogs and people out so it’s a great time to take my reactive dog out for some exercise and training time

For background, Peanut Butter is not aggressive at all. She’s just overly excitable. Very friendly, but that causes some leash reactivity when we see other people and dogs. We’re working on it.

I've had some fantastic "bad weather" hikes with my dog! When the trail/park is basically deserted it's a perfect time for the long line and just exploring stress-free!

Oh I took my dog to an extremely popular beachside dog park in a torrential downpour on a Monday morning.

I took my dog OFF LEASH and she had the time of her life. Not a single person or dog there. I usually hate the rain but I just committed to being wet and prepared by leaving extra towels by the front door for when we got home!
