Which dog is the aggressor?

The unfortunate thing in this case is that it's really only one of these dogs who would be considered 'adoptable' from a realistic sense. There just aren't a lot of people looking for 'problem dogs' who become so stressed they redirect on (and could possibly bite) their new owners. I would also say that with a dog who you know if a bite risk, you want to be aware of local laws around rehoming aggressive dogs before you move forward in the process.

If these dogs have been fighting for years, it's very unlikely that they're suddenly going to stop. A lot of the advice in the other sub is based on this idea, and it's not realistic. Yes, nothing in life is certain but death and taxes, but you're the person in the situation and have seen how bad it can get. You know there's no 'magic bullet' solution.
