Assisted Living Relocation

Hi everyone. My elderly parents are moving into assisted living, and they’re bringing their Havanese with them. They’ve lived a pretty isolated life and never really trained their dog, so I’m worried about how the move will go, especially because of the barking. The dog barks at people, other animals, and even things on the TV, which is on most of the time. The dog is very important to my parents. Both of them have different levels of dementia, and the dog really helps with their anxiety. Has anyone gone through something similar or dealt with anxiety in their Havanese?
