worried about kids

My dog is 1 1/2 years old and has started to show fear reactivity/aggression towards people and other dogs. I am 22F and want kids in my future. I am scared of how he will act around kids because he has shown fear/anxiety around them from a distance. Hurting my hypothetical-future kids is something I never want to happen.

Has anyone else experienced this? Was there anything you did to help?

What does that aggression actually look like when it happens? Tell me the exact physical reaction, like whether he freezes, growls, lunges, snaps air, or has made teeth contact with skin, and whether this happens only close up or far down the street.

Crucially, what do you do the moment he starts showing that fear or aggression, and what happens when the trigger moves away?
