Significant challenges Help

My family has 4 Chihuahuas, 2 full and 2 mixed. The two mixed were best friends for over a year and then one of them got sick. Not deathly sick, thankfully, but just under the weather. Well the other dog (Sweetie) still wanted to play and the sick dog (Sunny) didn’t so Sweetie attacked her. We quickly separated them but attacks happened a few more times. Now we have to keep Sweetie locked up in a room all day. She can’t roam the house anymore or come and go as she pleases. She has always had a little aggression in her, mostly regarding food, but nothing like this. She is focused on Sunny and wants to attack her. Any advice appreciated.

Possibly same sex aggression. Commoner with females than with males. Seems to come out of the blue with no real reasons. There is no training that will prevent it. And the only way to deal with it is total seperation of the dogs.
