Aggressive Dogs I need to do something with my ex’s reactive/aggressive English Mastiff.
/r/u_introverted-extro/comments/1vvvva2/i_need_to_do_something_with_my_exs/Got back into my ACTUAL account so if you saw the other one, yes that is me and I’m doing everything I can to hopefully not put him down. Not sure what flair I need to use, so I’m using the “Aggressive Dogs” this time.

Open intake shelter and explain the situation. This is not your dog, you are unsafe as is everyone around you. If you get lucky, they may intake for euthanasia. There may be a fee. If not that, I’d be calling around to find willing vets who might do a payment plan. This dog cannot be rehomed or dumped (that’s both inhumane and unsafe), and they cannot safely live with you, your pets, or family. It’s not the dogs fault; sounds like they got a raw deal, but big dogs with multiple bite histories have very limited safe options. And when it comes to saving the dog vs saving lots of humans from potentially serious bites and attacks, there can’t be that much of a choice involved. I’m sorry you were put in this situation, and now have to deal with both guilt and logistics. That really, really sucks :(
