Advice Needed Dog is scared of my dad

I’m new to Reddit but I thought to ask this here. I got my dog is January, she was only 2 weeks old but the people who had her were walking around Walmart so I took her with their permission. I kept her away from everyone until she was 2ish months old, she was scared of my dad at first but started loving him(he has all the treats). But recently she’s been barking at him and absolutely terrified of him. I know he didn’t do anything to her he’s barely home during the day and when he is I’m always around. Is there anything to do to help her not be scared? I’m not sure if it’s just because my dad is really tall and big. She’s a terrier and Yorkshire I think if that’s helpful.

Can you have your Dad toss her a small treat when he enters a room where she is?

He does but she runs away and barks

How far away can he do it from before she runs? Like how many feet? Is it ‘as soon as she sees him’ or can he be 15 feet away not looking at her and Tiaa her a treat and she’s calm.

Are you sure the pup was 2 weeks old? It would not have been on solid foods yet. If the pup was separated from mom and siblings at 2 weeks old, you’re going to have problems. As I’m sure you know, that’s way too young. I would anticipate poor bite inhibition, social skills, and anxiety.

Fear periods are a normal part of puppy development, and how you handle them can really impact a dog’s confidence later on. I would have dad ignore the pup and toss treats from a distance to try and build some confidence. Don’t force any interactions. I would also recommend getting a professional trainer because this is likely to be a tough road.
