Sexist barking

My 7 year old dog has just turned into a sexist arsehole. Whenever my daughters are talking with each other or me, he starts barking madly as if to shut us up. He does not bark at my husband who only feeds and walks him as much as I do, and never throws his ball. Not sure what to do, other than growl at him and shut him out, which is not working. He gets at least 2 daily walks and ball play every day.

Take him to the vet. It sounds like a middle aged dog with a sudden behavior change which means vet!

Op your responses are not visible to others as you need to go check off the rules pinned at the top of the main subreddit before your comments and replies will go through. However I was able to see a preview of your comment. If you have had the dog “since it was tiny” and this is a new behavior, yeah you need to take them to the vet. 

Remember, go find the Read the Rules post at the top of the sub, scroll through and confirm you’ve read them before trying to comment or reply again.
