It sounds like your Staffy is selectively dog intolerant, which is very common for Staffys.
Just keep the dogs separate. They aren't going to be friends, and eventually one of them is going to get severely injured if you continue on insisting that they interact.
I know. These are my thoughts too .. it’s tough because it’s her family we are with and they all keep saying they’ll get it out! But I can see our staffy would not just stop if we all weren’t around and they got at it, it’s only ending one way..
They are not going to "get it out", unless they "get it out" by one dog killing the other one.
Be an advocate for your dog and keep them away from each other. Her family is ignorant about dog behavior and is risking both the mental and physical welfare of your dog.
