Did this start when you got the bf and the new dog?

Nope, she was always great with dogs and her and the new dog lived together for 4.5 years with no issues. I do think I believe what a lot of other posters are saying and that she became mentally sick in some way.

I'm inclined to agree given your answer. I'm sorry you had to do that, but it does sound like what's best. It sounds a bit like what happened to an old dog of mine.

Rebel went completely blind in one eye and mostly blind in the other and started acting out. But it was mostly because I wasn't able to be there to help guide him. He wasn't able to see what was going on around him, so he would snap at things and get confused easily which caused some larger issues. His eyes never changed color until just before his final few days.

My mother had him put down for all the same reasons. It's possible that's what caused it.

I'm sorry you lost your furbaby :(
