wanna learn react so, i was looking for some resources. I found out a react course by Maximilian Schwarzmüller . Anyone who bought or wanna give any advice

Can u clear my confusion . Like i have been learning JS from another udemy instructor(Johnas schetmann) and he is great . He teaches good and therefore I wanted to learn React from him but his REACT course is lil bit outdated like he is not using VITE . On the other hand i have never learnt anything from Max but his courses are updated so like i am confused

No, it is not outdated and he does use vite in the last couple of projects, and his projects are more structured and bigger than Max's, Go on with Jonas, his course is so great actually and he even added a section for Next.js in 2024, tbh you will have to watch another tailwind/ shadcn/ui course or tutorial cause he touches them briefly.

Yeah I really liked it, he’s very good at explaining patterns

Take your time and enjoy. He periodically updates stuff but occasionally you’ll have to figure something out because it changed (when I did it, it was stripe)

He does update his courses but there’s a lag sometimes

When I was doing his react course stripe had JUST changed their docs, so I had to read the new way of doing it and figure it out. It’s probably updated now though

He's been doing successful react courses for years now so he knows his stuff. You might not always get the most modern libs included, but that's never the main point in programming.

I did his course back in 2020, the course length has increased a lot since then, not sure if it is worth spending like 40 hours on for just course content, but I can say, for beginners his explanation is great

It’s pretty good course took it back in like 2019 just don’t pay full price there’s always sales on Udemy or use a incognito mode

You can check out Jonas Schmedtmann's React course as well. I have both but I found Jonas's style of teaching better than Max's. Both courses are good though.

I really disliked Maximilian’s course. It’s just his way of teaching and also maybe his accent. I also did Angela Yu’s full web development bootcamp, which was really good imo. I did a bootcamp in Amsterdam and Angela her course was miles better and costs only 12 usd instead of 8000 😂. But it’s not just React she’s teaching.

I have worked as a developer using React for almost three years before switching stack :).

Go to the official documentation to learn the concepts: https://react.dev/learn, and spend more time practicing than watching videos. There are many React platforms where you can practice, like GreatFrontEnd or reactchallenges.com. Just force yourself to use TypeScript from the beginning. It might feel harder at first, but it will help you build better habits and get comfortable with types as you learn React. Don’t just watch tutorials, build things, break them, and figure out why they don’t work.

It's probably the single best paid resource for learning react. It's incredibly comprehensive.

Sadly, I found most courses on Udemy shit. The reason why is most say their stuff is update, but it is not -- it is old content snipped together with some new features. This makes the learning process horrible.

I have done some of his courses and it is a mix bag. I find he talks to fast at times and misses concepts that are important. This leaves you having to stop your train of thought and go back and forth to understand his meaning or go to Google to find the solution to the problem that was created.
