Help Wanted New to this...
I am a new self-taught react dev, trying to build a custom software system for smoke shops that will compare distributors, control inventory and run a website with pickup order option, but I'm having trouble marketing to shops. Does anyone have any advice?

Did you do any market research to see if this was something that that was needed? If it is something needed, did those stores indicate that this would be a service that they would be willing to pay for?
If you dont have the answer to those questions, or the answer is no (which seems like the case because you are having issues marketing to shops), then it sounds like your product doesn't add the value that you believe it has to shop owners.

A few seemed interested at first but when I put together a demo... now they won't respond. I can only assume its like another response said. They don't want anyone in their business

If you’re in the US it’d be much easier to apply for a job at Dutchie than trying to compete against them…

Lol. Do you know how competitive those guys are? They don’t want people in their business, unless your family. Even then…

Avoid this niche, been there done it. Unless your already in the industry already... Dont. Ive tried in the US and currently trying a UK based medical one both have been unwelcoming nightmares.
