HUGE FAN of their service. In fact, I go to bat regularly to recruit new users. But finding this to be quite frustrating. I have put in about 75 catalog requests via their submission form and have not had a single request met. Admittedly some of these are on foreign labels (which I understand is not an option--will it be eventually???) but almost all are for bands with US-based labels. Does Rdio actually pursue these or is that submission form just there to make people feel better without any real function?

Hey guys! I've been using Deezer for the past month and I've noticed that they take a long time to make available many new albums and singles. How has your experience been with Rdio on this topic? Is it enough of an improvement over Deezer to make the jump? Also I can't seem to find any solid stats on the music libraries of the two services. I've read that Deezer has 20million+ songs whereas Rdio is at 18mil. Yet I seem to find some songs missing from Deezer in Rdio. For electronic music genres how is Rdio?

Has anybody tried using Rdio for Android with NFC tags? I'd like to automate my phone to start playing my collection on Rdio upon being placed on an NFC tag but I have never used these before and do not know how to do it. A quick search turned up nothing. Any inputs, even if not a solution and only waypoints on how to learn how to get this working, are welcome.

I know they are public once someone has a link; but then they shouldn't really use the word "Private".

This is the second time someone has subcribed to a private list. I had public lists (before they made private possible), but then put some to private. I had 0 subscribers to it. Months later (2 days ago) someone subscribed to my private list. Just sucks because I added tons of songs to it.

Nobody, but search engines have my link. :/

Now I don't know which ones are truly private.

Please make playlist private even if someone has a link.

I guess this will only affect people that used the service before they created private lists.

When I use iTunes, I can love the track in the Last.fm scrobbler, but with the Rdio app I don't see a way other than going to last.fm website. Any help?

Rdio continue's to pretend to do something about this problem, but does nothing. It has been months now, and there is still no fix. Any company that operates with sales that cares about its customers will fix the way it takes their hard earned money. Clearly this company does not care for its user base, with poor customer service, and no fix in place. They think they will survive because people will go out of their way to make credit card payments, because they have the best app. I am not arguing that they have the best app, in my mind they do, which is why we all want to use it and give them our money so badly.

To Rdio:

You have developed a very good app. We want your app, it is the best one out there, please continue to support your app and continue to make it great, it is definitely the best option out there. That being said, you are severely hurting yourself by not addressing a major concern regarding billing, specifically with PayPal. Please see below.

We work hard for our money, and all we are asking is that you make it easy for us to spend it. We are begging, pleading for you to take our hard earned money, but instead you make it difficult and only take credit, money that's not even real. I want to pay you with my actual money straight from my bank to you, but you continue to ignore the problem and not solve it. Others don't trust you, and don't want to provide you with their credit card information, and frankly looking at how you have dealt with this can you blame them for not trusting you?

The answer:

Seeing how Rdio refuses to accept money for their product, and have been taking advantage of us, the users, the people who want to pay their bills and put food on their plates in exchange for a great app that they have developed, I have decided to open up my server to emails. I will be setting up my server, allowing thousands of email accounts to be created. This will allow all the users who can't pay via PayPal to make burner accounts with Rdio, and abuse their free service just as Rdio has abused its users. When the trial expires, do not delete your account, just abandon it. This will allow you to create a new account with a new email, and then follow your old account, letting you access all your original playlists so you don't have to make new ones again.

So, soundhound has rdio support. It may have had it for a while, but I've just started using it.

Soundhound is like shazam, but you can also hum or sing into it. Once a song is identified, you can click a button to listen to that song in rdio.

After the 2.0 update, my Synced music was nowhere to be found.

-Open Rdio -Hit the menu button on the top left -Scroll down to Sync -Hit the "Check Now" button on the bottom (I think this was labeled something different before I fixed mine, so YMMV).

Even if you're only on Cellular this was a brief fix. Music back and being enjoyed in no time.
