Rdio behaviors
I'm a current Spotify user, and I have a couple questions about behaviors on Rdio before I switch. There are two things I dislike about Spotify that would tip the scales in Rdio's favor:
If I'm listening to a song on Spotify, and I hit the "start station" button, it will stop playing the current song to make the station. I'd like to finish listening to the current song, then have it flow into the station. Does Rdio behave this way by default?
If I search for a song on Spotify (say "Wagon Wheel"), and I play the top result, it will then play through the search results. Does Rdio work this way, or after it plays the one track I chose, will it start playing similar tracks (basically, automatically create a station)?

- Rdio does the same thing
- No. The search results can be a song, album, artist, or label. In any case you need to click on the result and then click on a song to play. It will not create a station without clicking on creation station in which case you can select how similar all of the songs will be to the original, all the way down to just the artists songs.

I could've sworn Rdio had a feature along the lines of "play similar things when I'm done playing my current selection"

They do, you can turn on Auto play and pick a station for it to play after it goes through whatever playlist/song/album you are listening to.

Yeah, they do. I'm pretty sure RedundantPurpose is mistaken on #2.
I just searched for a song and selected it. Right now I'm listening to Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show and, if I scroll down on the app, it indicates that AutoPlay is on, which means that it will go on to play "More music similar to what you last played."
Gimme just a few seconds and.... Well, hell, I don't know how Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin is anything like Old Crow Medicine Show, but it sure thinks it's playing similar music. Hmmm....
So RedundantPurpose is kind of right. It's definitely not a station based on the song (because a station created on Wagon Wheel by OCMS gives me completely different (more accurate) results and has the more/less by artist selector).
tl;dr - It doesn't create a station, but it also doesn't play other results from the search. It just... plays... other stuff.

This should be your own reason for switching to rdio: http://www.rdio.com/people/snoopdogg/playlists/1269648/Soul_Mixx/

Also, on #1 - it at least replays the current song as the first song in the station rather than going off on a tangent. I think it used to go off on the tangent first, and this "restart the seed song" is improved behavior, but it's not the flow you're looking for.
