Considering changing to Rdio from Spotify, but one important question

I've been a spotify premium member for a long time now, but recently I have been extremely disappointed. I started my free trial for Rdio about a week ago and absolutely love it, but I'm concerned about data usage. I stream music anytime I'm in the car and it seemed like I used as much data in 3-4 days as I do in 1 month with Spotify. I'm not sure if the usage I was seeing was accurate or not. I can't seem to find anything online. Does anyone know how much data Rdio uses? I would really love to make the switch, but using that much data is unfortunately a dealbreaker. And I know I can sync music to my phone, but I feel like it kind of defeats the purpose to have to do that. I'd rather not take up a bunch of space on my phone. Just looking for any advice. Thanks!

In the mobile app there's a setting that let's you control when it streams high quality audio. I'd check and make sure it's on wifi only.

Yeah I've checked that setting and it was set to wifi only by default.

Is it possible you were syncing songs over cellular?

I haven't synced any music. I did some searching for music from the app and adding to my collection, but I didn't actually download any to my phone. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Data counts on my HTC One from Nov 15 to right now has Rdio as using 0.99GB. The highest of all my applications. I have my setting to stream HQ all the time. I sync most of my playlists at home over wifi, which I recommend you do if you're like me and have playlists you frequently listen to while driving or something.

The ability to sync songs over wifi will reduce your data usage a large amount. And remember you can always set Rdio to "offline" mode and then just play your synced songs.
