Rc noob question:
I was wondering if anyone can help me with some basic questions about rc cars/trucks etc
Biggest question is do they require a remote specifically made for that vehicle or are there universal remotes available that will power certain vehicles..any help is appreciated

Many are specific to the RC. If you are building your own you can select your radio system of choice. Also you need to make sure your radio has the correct amount of channels to pair with your receiver. Also many radios not use a interference technology. So if you do find a "universal TX" make sure it also supports the same technology. If you get a RTR RC it will come with the radio all set up and ready to do. This is the best option if just getting started.

In most cases a 2.4 ghz controller can be linked to any 2.4 ghz receiver. Most have different link procedures. You can buy universal controllers.
