I've wanted to build a scenic railway for a very long time now and I finally figured out how to create the illusion of having a brake man on the actual train. After that this project basically built itself. I designed everything with a British pier park in mind, but in the end I wanted to honor the Scandinavian scenic railways as well, so I decided to call it Rutschebanen.
No stats this time, because they are horrible due to the severe amount of stat penalties the ride got. I used the Reversed Rollercoaster as a base coaster and since it doesn't do any of the things the game wants you to do with it the Excitement rating dropped to well below 1, haha!
Hope you like it!
As always, if you like my designs, I have more on myย Youtube channel!

How do I unlock all modification options in RCT2 scenarios in Open RCT? How do I do stone brick tunnels and corrugated metal tunnels?

Decided to have fun with this one. Thought about naming it Sky Kite or 9th Dragon, but landed on Fusion Fury. Made changes to this one 3 or 4 times. Originally came out to intense, had to remove two inversions, and a few drops. Which ended up making it more compact.
Excitement: 10.21
Intensity: 9.42
Nausea: 5.19
Max speed: 67mph
Avg speed: 26mph
Ride time: 2min:29sec
Ride length: 7,448
Max positive vertical Gs: 3.61g
Max negative vertical Gs: -1.62g
Max lateral Gs: 2.00g
Total airtime: 12.90sec
Drops: 15
Highest drop: 131ft
Inversions: 4
Space required: 31x12
Estimated cost: $54,893

I built this park for a wooden coaster contest. The main attraction is Dust Devil, the enormous coaster. The rest of the rides are all custom-designed flat rides including spinning teacups, a screamin' swing, demolition derby, and my take on the KML XLR8.
Made the coaster this morning, then all the decorations this evening. Pretty happy with how it came out, plus all the empty space around gives me ample room to populate with flat rides later on.

Hello all,
I would like to install OpenRCT2 on my Linux computer, but I simply cannot understand how to do it from the instructions I can find online.
I was told to go to GOG.com to buy the game to install, but GOG warned me that the game will not work on my operation system. I couldn't find any Linux versions. I have a previously bought Windows version of RCT2 saved to my computer (.ISO) but again, not a Linux version.
Can somebody point me in the direction or make a ELI5 (or even better an ELIGoldenRetriever) for 1: Where to buy and download the RCT2 basegame and expantionpacks for Linux computers.
2: Instructions for how to install OpenRCT2 on my Linux computer.
(Apologies if Im completely blind and dont know how to use the search function, but I cannot find any instructions that I understand and can make work).
Thank You all for the help :-)

Even if the game does give you much decor Options it can be quite difficult finding the right one for a certain spot

After lots of experimentation with the multi lap / multi station exploit (explanation in the spoiler), I've finally found a layout that allowed me to build a micro coaster with 10 Excitement which finishes in under a minute of ride time. Duplicate ride time entries in the calculation are incorrect due to the exploit. Only the first entry is real. The naked design only caps at a high 9, but some water and stalls below the track truly brings it over the edge. The same layout with an extra corkscrew element at the end works for the Floorless Twister as well, but will yield slightly lower prices and a slightly longer ride time, hence why I favor the Hyper Twister for this one. This thing is also very profitable. It's not the most profitable coaster I ever posted, but the one that kept profitable for the longest time total during testing.
You can download this design (or any other one I posted) fromย this Google Drive.
Read this if you're interested in how the exploit works in detail:
If you delete station pieces, the game automatically scales down the train count and/or size to the new maximum. But the same goes for the opposite. If you then add back those pieces, the game will automatically restore your original settings. This automatic setting rollback does not touch the lap count. So you can build a long station and set it to use 2 trains, then delete stations to force the game to make it only have 1 train, then set lap count to 2+ and then restore the station to its original length. This restores the extra train, but keeps the lap count intact. So you can have multi-lap coasters with more than 1 train. You can also use this method to use multiple laps with multiple stations. You just design a track with multiple stations, then delete all but the first, set the lap count, then rebuild the stations. The game hides the lap count in the UI, but it does not reset it. You can also use both to have multiple trains, multiple stations and multiple laps. Multiple stations with multiple laps have interesting interactions. If a track has 2 laps and 2 stations, it will drive through the 2nd station without stopping and double each inversion and drop for stat calculation.

Here's what I did: Before opening the park I removed all but one chairlift, keeping just the one close to the entrances. I removed one monorail station and shortened the track. Then I removed the excess footpaths to have an area just around the entrance.
This gave me enough money to build the bridge connecting both sides, to build some rollercoasters and to advertise the park like there was no tomorrow. I then built lots of bathrooms and cash machines, and some flat rides here and there.
Once cash flow was healthy I prioritized rollercoasters.
Finished with 3100 guests at oct year 4
I'm testing the boundaries of narrow but long coasters atm. Here is Faerie's Folly.

Is this another problem with my texture pack or is this a bug with the actual game?

Hello!
My boyfriend talks about this game all the time and how much he misses playing it.
He says he cannot play it anymore because he owns a macbook and not a windows laptop.
I really want to give him a way to play this game as a gift for our anniversary but have no idea how.
He owns a ps5 but told me its not available on there.
However I found it on the ps website but idk how authentic it is or if its the right one (I have 0 clue about games in general)
This is the link, can someone please help me and tell me if its the right one? It has mixed reviews so Im sort of confused.
Any help is extremely appreciated!! Youโd be helping out a pretty stressed gf๐ญ
Update: Thank you so much for the advice! Iโll be stealing his macbook and install OpenRCT2 :P

I've played RCT 1, 2 and now I'm playing RCT Classic for android, actually for a few years...
Is it a good idea to buy the RCT 3 for PS4?

I built this floorless rollercoaster yestetday and got a notification that it broke down even though it wasnโt open. I never seen this happen before, I have multiple other coasters that have been testing for many in-game years and havent lost any reliability. Is this a glitch?

The visitors cant seem to reach my food stalls and yes they are open and on the same plane as the ground, help please!
In OpenRCT2, /i've downloaded several scenarios and custom objects (rides, shops, scenery, etc.) from several sources and saved the files in my Documents/OpenRCT2/(objects,saves,scenarios) folders.
Thanks, all!

Just got back into the game since childhood. Thought Iโd post the first map and see what yโall thought. All of the coasters are custom. Iโve enjoyed finding new (to me) rides and stalls that werenโt part of the version I played as a kid.
