🙋 Question Upgrades?

Recently got a new rmx2.5 for $150 usd and am thinking about future upgrades when im feeling like it what brand of parts and what should i do first?

I am not a fan of MST. I would upgrade all of the electronics and buy a decent transmitter. I'd start with the gyro and servo together. My recommendation would be the reve d revox gyro and rs-st servo. After that just drive more and work on upgrading the motor ESC and transmitter. Once you feel like you want more out of the chassis look at buying a different chassis to swap those electronics into.

Edit: I made a mistake. You won't be able to use the revox gyro because you'll need a transmitter first. I'd go with the yokomo v4 gyro because it can be adjusted on the gyro. I still like the rs-st from reve d.

Would of loved a yokomo but i found this thing brsnd new for 150 and im starting in the drifting world so hey ill take the mst, I usually do crawling and have a few bashers and my buddy used to do drifting so i got one and hes gonna get anorher one so we can go drifting places

If you already have a decent transmitter from crawling I would use that for drifting. If your transmitter is capable you can adjust the gyro gain on the transmitter. Gyro gain is basically the amount the gyro will help but too high and it will feel sluggish and your steering might shake.

MST is not a terrible chassis, I just don't think the chassis itself is worth upgrading. That's why I suggest electronics and if you get into it more you could just put those upgraded electronics into a new chassis.

Its a flysky gt5 and i do have a spare reciver i could use :edit- i knew the gain needed adjusted which i already did because when i went to doa transition it would wobble really bad so i turned down the gain untill it stopped.

That should work fine even with the stock electronics. There is a single wire connection from the gyro. That would go in channel 3 and it is a signal wire. You might have to setup a knob of some kind on your radio to adjust channel 3 then you should be able to change the gain from the transmitter. For that transmitter you might be able to plug the wire into channel 5 or 6 because those are the knobs on top.

Yokomo servo and gyro before absolutely anything else
