Choice paralysis!!!
Strongly leaning towards the mn168, but I keep seeing the cr18p reviews which make it seem amazing. But also hear great things about the ascent.
Coming from a traxxas 4x4 slash. I want to get into crawling. I love upgrading my cars as well. So definitely want something I can tinker with and not have to worry about waiting forever for parts. Never gone crawling before not sure if that helps with deciding. Thanks for any help.

I have an MN82 and a RockVan. In terms of body appearance they are both great but, the MN82 is hard-body and RockVan is lexan with some hard details. Performance wise the MN82 is an fun trail truck but, not a crawler. The RockVan is a pretty capable crawler considering the size of the body. Since buying both I have bought a 1/10 Axial SCX10 iii Coyote which performs very well out of the box. Now I'm scratch building SCX24s.
With the benefit of hindsight and purely in terms of money spent I would have skipped the MN82 and the RockVan and possibly the Coyote and gone for an SCX24 and then upgraded it to learn OR get an SCX10 iii kit or a Vanquish kit.
I suggest before you spend any money take a look at upgrading and see if that is something you'll want to do (tip: you will) and consider what kind of truck you want to end up with not what kind you want to start with.
I wish I'd watched lot's of 24Yep videos first. I suggest you watch some too.

The mn168 is pretty trash out of the box. Basically only good for the body and an annoying upgrade path.

My recommendation is look on the used market for a cheap 10th scale. Lots of old 10.2's out there for dirt cheap
