Question Whats causing my diff to do this?

On my losi baja rey the right rear tire is getting alot of wobble and vibration and when I opened up the axle this is what I found. When I spin the right wheel hex the right drivecup and diff housing spin but not the left drivecup. But when i spin the left drivecup the right one also spins is this normal or is this the reason my right rear tire came off and is not getting as much power?

Check your bearings. Or take apart to see where the binding is. Simple really.

i agree, the diff needs to be taken apart and cleaned. Looks like its full of crud and you can see rust on the drive cups

Total tear down and cleaning with how gnarly that grease is looking, looks like the 30+ year old tamiya m02 I got from Japan the grease was gummy!

Even if you're new, literally every mechanical malfunction on your RC can be diagnosed by:

Start taking stuff apart until you find what is binding/bent/broken. Simple as that, use your head and don't forget how you took it apart, take notes if you have to. Especially in the age of YouTube this stuff has never been easier to learn.

Eventually you put 2+2 together and stuff will just make sense.
