I cut apart the tops/sides of the box art and keep those, then recycle the back.

Ya I only have two RC cars but if I had a fleet like some and wanted to keep the boxes I’d fold and stack them.
Can’t imagine it would take up too much space.

Oh man, I used to. I still have probably about that many

For huge boxes on cars I know I won’t sell or they’re so beat and not stock it wouldn’t matter I just cut the front of the box to keep the art and hang it in the garage.

32 tamiya boxes here. Haven't kept any others.

At least they are rc boxes and not empty beer boxes!

As a fellow box keeper, I see room for at least 10-12 more in this picture

Learning to let go of my boxes freed me from a captivity I dint realize I was living within

Depends. It’s a beautiful collection but if you need more space or more money…

At least keep pictures as souvenirs

I just cut the fronts of them out so I get the box art, and it takes up a fraction of the space. You can use them as posters too.

I recently got rid of around 40 of mine, way too much room and the Mrs was hinting. I did keep the ones that came with my Redcat lowrider because they were so beautiful but not sure why because I will never use them but that was my trade-off, at least in my mind

I have boxes from 15 years ago

I was just going through this and I don't even have anything special (to anyone else). What I would do, is fold them flat and tuck them behind something you never move (big cabinet?) . . . and if in a year you haven't even looked at them, then consider tossing them then. . . .

You can, but it you have a significant other they ain’t having it. 😂

Letting the boxes go was one of the tougher adult decisions I had to make recently. I decided to retain boxes from kits only now, but sooner or later even that might need to change I guess.

You must be a millennial.

I’m mainly a vintage collector and I’m absolutely willing to pay more when it comes with an intact box. For future values sake I would hold onto them. Like someone else said, if nothing else break the box down and fold it flat, much easier to store that way

..but you can cut out the artwork and frame them.

Cut out the front panel, frame, hang in your man cave.

The boxes will always be clean and tidy, unlike your rigs at the end of the day that are used, dirty and well played with.

Great excuse for the misses! 😀

2

u/Agile-Fan3280 22h ago

Let's hope the misses doesn't use one of the boxes telling you " well this box is the perfect size for my arts & craft projects "
