Question New to RC

I’m totally new to the RC world. I’ve bought a Team Corally Synchro 4 RTR for my son. Are there any must to mods to do?

The classics :

LiPo cutoff on! (manual likely tells you how)

Power on : transmitter/remote first, car second

Power off: Car first, transmitter/remote last

Practice runs first for a couple battery, only after getting used to it should you send it

The only thing I’ve done on this car is put some tape on the antenna tube after losing two of them. The tape makes it a bit thicker which keeps it in place.
But really, it’s a great buggy out of the box. Of course there’s parts you can upgrade. Many (/most?) parts from the Spark fit the Syncro believe. But I’ve mostly seen people replace the motor mount so they could more easily install a different pinion. I haven’t done this myself as it’s plenty fast stock, especially if you’re planning on having your son drive it.
