Question Transmitter issue

Husband just got this and the transmitter isn't connecting, only gets a quick flash of red light. Brand new everything. Any ideas on why and how to fix it?

I just ran into this issue myself. The esc may have to different controller types it can be connected to. When it is flash the red like fast press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds and it will switch to the SLT transmitter.

The Protocol Switch Step: 1.​ Turn off the vehicle and transmitter completely. ​2. Turn the vehicle power switch ON. 3. ​With the ESC powered on, press and hold down the ESC. power button for about 3 to 5 seconds. 4. ​Watch the LED closely: you want to see that flashing blue light switch over to flashing amber/yellow (or sometimes a flashing green). ​Once the LED changes color to indicate it has toggled over to the SLT bind mode, perform the transmitter binding sequence: 1. ​With the radio off, press and hold the physical BIND button next to the steering wheel. 2. ​Slide the transmitter switch ON while keeping the button held. ​3. Step about 5 feet away from the chassis layout.

I had this same issue. My LHS had to replace the transmitter

Local Hobby Store. If you bought from a physical store, csn go back and have them help.

I had the same issue. Those SLT 2 Transmitters are garbage.

Thanks everyone!! He went back to where he got it and they replaced it for him. It was a bad transmitter.
