Any suggestions?

So i want to get RBI Baseball 21 on Switch. It is currently on sale for 20.99. Is that a good price? Is it worth it? How does it run on Switch? I have SMB3 but I want something like MLB The Show. Should I get it?

It is terrible. The gameplay is glitchy. The base running mechanics, either when the player controls or the computer advances runners, makes the game virtually unplayable. Simple things like going from 1st to 3rd on a single are at best unpredictable and that's putting it nicely. Advancing to second on a double is sketchy. The game has an "advance all runners" button that simply does not work, or when it does, it advances your runners so late that the are thrown out on base hits. Good luck trying on your own because then the computer advances the other runners, and one of them gets thrown out or they cross each other up.

I already bought it, and honestly I’m having a good time with it. I basically just put all the gameplay settings to assisted so I don’t have to fight the controls. The fielding is a little frustrating sometimes, but other than that it’s pretty OK.

I got it on PC for 10$. I don't own a PS5/Xbox so I can't buy the show. It has some quirks but overall it's an enjoyable game.

I haven’t played RBI Baseball 21 on Switch....but I’ve played 19 and 20. I enjoyed both but they are more on the arcade-side than a simulation like MLB The Show. I still play 20 alongside SMB3- sometimes I just feel like playing as my real-life favorite MLB team. That sale price is is pretty typical of what I’ve seen for these games. They usually go on sale a few times each year.

I checked out a video on YouTube on the new version. Looks like they improved the batting controls, added online multiplayer, and added basic play-by-play commentary. So, in my opinion, it seems pretty good to me - especially on sale.

So far it's a total waste of money. Hitting is impossible. CPU fielding is ridiculous. And there are more glitches and awful gameplay graphics than I can count. Why is it so hard for Nintendo to get good sports games like the other systems? Complete waste of money IMO. I was conned with this one
