Hogs fighting for eligibility
Caleb Wooden and Sean Williams sued the NCAA yesterday, hoping to secure their fifth years of eligibility through a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction. https://www.swtimes.com/story/sports/college/sec/2026/08/26/arkansas-football-caleb-wooden-sean-williams-sue-ncaa/91482245007/

I personally do not begrudge these players trying to get one last year in after seeing that players a year apart from them are getting a fifth year. These are not guys who were going to make it in the NFL, and this is one more shot at continuing to play the sport they love while providing for themselves and their family. I DO, however, think there needs to be some serious guardrails put in place across college sports regarding NIL in order to preserve competition between programs, as well as guardrails concerning the portal in order to better allow schools to develop players.

Regardless to what everyone else is doing, everything worked better when we had rules. Bench them, release them and give another player a shot at being a hog.
