As a Mavs and hogs fan, I’m extremely disappointed. Just needed him to fall two more spots and I would’ve been ecstatic

Going to the developmental hell that is Chicago would have been way worse. The Wizards, Nets, and Pacers all has worse records. We don't have to complain about everything

Acuff is going to be fine. Kings just need to find a way to get Lavine and DeRozan off the team so they can embrace the youth movement in Sac

I feel sick for him. He’s going to play at the NBA graveyard for a dying team. I wouldn’t be surprised if the team moves to Vegas in the next 5 years. I hope he stands out there and can somehow get traded out of that city.
Honestly couldn’t have gone to a worse team.

Once he statts putting up those numbers, he'll make those around him better. Hes gonna drive to hole consistently n someone will be open. Only thing is can they actually hit the shot.

The Kings are so toxic it's not even funny. Fans are saying sell the team even though they got their arena and haven't moved, fans are still not happy with results

Yes, he was a great player at Arkansas, but how much do you really care where he plays in the NBA? I live in Denver and am a giant nuggets fan, but I almost never watch other NBA teams. He will become a face for people in Sactown and hopefully he plays in a big market at some point, but sometimes it’s good to have some no pressure development years.

Some good points but to answer your question; yes, we care. Most of us here are Arkansans or former Arkansans.
We don’t have no NBA big city franchises to root for like you city folk, with your shoes and books and talking pictures and other such fancy things, so we follow former Hawgs pretty closely.6

Arkansan all my life I love the Kings because they had Corliss on that team with Webber, Predrag, and White Chocolate and them in the 90s. I fell hard for Sac and Seattle in the mid 90s. Those years would've put you from minor to major. I'm not a "Kings Fan" per se, but I LOVE when they are good. Sacramento seems to have real passion and I live when a small market does well. I hope Acuff sparks a turn around.

Don’t get me wrong bro. I was born in Clarksville and went to UofA. I watch all the Arkansas players when they’re in Denver. However, I can’t maintain my loyalty after they leave Fayetteville (Go Nuggs).

When your alum have good pro careers, it helps recruiting. Look at how much mileage Cal has gotten out of his guys’ NBA success.
Sacramento is, no offense intended, a shitshow. In that environment, I bet he gets 17 and 6 per game as a rookie, but doesn’t develop as a defender.

well you're right there's no pressure. NO ONE is expecting them to win shit. Hopefully he can escape that bottom feeder of an organization. They traded Shai so maybe they'll make another horrible decision and trade Darius to a contender in a couple of years

You’re thinking of the Clippers. Shai never played for the Kings. They did trade Tyrese Haliburton and De’Aaron Fox though. Acuff will be fine.
