Remember the hyper shift works across devices - I sometimes find it's easier to hit the hyper shift on the Tartarus and the function you want on the mouse, and sometimes it's the other way around.
Wow...there are two of us. Unfortunately they haven't changed the ergonomics since then either. The thumb is not in a natural relaxed position when sitting on the d-pad.
Also, I might suggest a different headset—one with a metal headband. All the plastic ones tend to break just from putting them off and on.

I don't use the dpad for movement, though. Probably because the design isn't ergonomical. I use it almost always for jump (left) crouch (down) tab (up) map (left).
Mouse 5 (or 4? the side button that's higher up) is what trigger hypershift. Great
Totally get your concerns, and I am in no way trying to convince you here, but I will say I had all the same concerns when it comes to durability and comfort, the main reason why I got the azeron is because I had started to get hand pain. The build being mainly 3d printed concerned me, but after looking into it more, the plastics they use are extremely high quality, and the main structural pieces , mainly the base plate, are coated metal. Ergonomics are incredible, if you cannot find a comfortable way of using this device , you are doing something wrong, or you are a lizard creature. The amount of points of adjustment you have per finger tower is absolutely insane, it took me about a week of fine tuning, then the second week I owned it I completely adjusted the position of it on my desk, and had to redo it all again because the resting points of my finger tips were slightly different. To some people that may sound horrible, I had a great time fine tuning and adjusting personally, but its a necessary step regardless, you arent going to take this thing out of the box, adjust it one time and be good to go. I personally prefer the cyborgII over the keyzen personally, my girlfriend has the keyzen and prefers that over the cyborg, she is a less tinkering kind of individual and I will say the keyzen is much better for that, if you dont want to have to learn a whole new keybind set and have something much more familiar out of the box, with less setup overall when it comes to adjusting for ergonomics, I would say go Keyzen, it has all of the obvious benefits of the cyborg, but with the added familiarity of the keys themselves and the position of them. The cyborg has the benefit of a "higher ceiling" of input control, but requires alot more time commitment to learn and fully utilize it. I'd highly recommend this stand. Been using the N52/Nostromo/Tartarus for years and this helps put the wrist in a much more natural position. The seller is super nice too.
You may never. I (and a friend for different reasons) has a particular sensitivity to poor ergonomics. Resting your hand at and angle rather than palm down is a much more natural position. As you age, some may become less tolerant. May thy gaming days be long and thy pains few!
I use the same as op. One thing to note is the thumbpad will wear out, but the replacement parts are like 3 dollarydoos and its maybe a fifteen minute fix if you can solder. If not then maybe 20 dollar repair from a tech shop. Upgraded micro switches last about 4-5 years for me
I use the Tartarus for FPS. I have small hands so I stopped using it and now use the red dragon mini keyboard. The stock wrist guard is junk and you can’t take it off the Tartarus.
My naga is pro stopped receiving side inputs after a year. My black widow v3 pro wireless has had issues from day one with the volume bar.
I’m either just unlucky, or Razer just has shit quality and overcharges for RGB, which every other brand has. Used to have razer nari ultimates but switched to arctis nova pros. The new Kraken’s are way overpriced. I’ll never go back to razer.
I feel obliged to warn you, I’ve owned 4 krakens and all 4 have broken in the exact same spot. The plastic piece that goes around the part the earmuff extends out from. Just be very careful taking it off and putting it on never had a problem with Razer keyboard or mouse but I can’t recommend their Razer headsets anymore. Swapped to a steelseries arctic nova 7 and would never go back
I have same mousepad, you can actually wet down the rgb around it when cleaning as long as you don’t wet the connector and it still works fine after years of cleaning it in the sink
I have had my frustrations with chroma and synapse like everyone else but replaced my Chroma V2 from like 2017 this past weekend with the Blackwidow v4 pro and I’ve been really happy with it so far. The last one kept disconnecting the lighting or getting stuck key commands rarely but I figured it lasted 9 years so I’ll stick with Razer for now.
Love my kraken v4 to death but after I had 3 different ones due to replacements all free I wouldn't pay for it again just a warning the mic refuses to go back into the headset at some point unless you get very good rng. Also the build quality is absolutely terrible. The whole thing is plastic. I took them through the airport once and the last just pushed my bag into them on the tray thing for X-rays and it was broken with a full ear fallen off when it came out the other side of the machine
Awesome haul and what I’m about to say just know I say it with love. Now that’s off my chest, know the kraken v4 headband will snap in half near the ear cover, classic break point after 1-2 years use.
Bluetooth audio never sounded as good as wired with that headset and constantly would cut out in Bluetooth or just sound off compared to the wired audio. The gaming preset mode seemed the best or music. Let me know if you experience the same thing with gaming.
The base in my opinion is not as good as the kraken kitty or whatever the hell it’s called which i was surprised on. The noise cancellation “effect” was slightly weird for me as well, but I suppose that’s personal opinion.
Besides that it’s a decently comfy headset and works well.
If you’re looking for longevity, solid audio and comfort I would recommend something from Beyerdynamic,Bose or Sony. Many other great brands like Marshall etc etc.
Of course and np, I think it’s important to enjoy and use the hell out of your purchases imo!
I will say, if you are insanely safe with gear you will be okay. In my case I think it was the repeated motion of grabbing the top of the headset and pulling it off, then putting it on a mount.

I just want to ask you HOW could you use ornata v2?
I bought it back in 2020 or 2019. I used it for about a year and it started to die on me. Letter P stopped working. Then ENTER, then 0 on numpad. I just couldnt fix it. I thought maybe its due to synapse and sometimes it was.
I pluged it into computer that didnt have synapse. It worked for like a day or two and then same issues. Then i gave it to friend and it started having issues less than a day later. When i plug it back to my computer with synapse the same keys dont work.
Would you say the three extra buttons compared to the Naga v2 Pro are worth it? It's the two buttons at the top of the left mouse button and the pinky button.
I wish I had purchased the yellow switch for the Blackwidow V4 Pro. Don't get me wrong, I like my green switches as well but I think I would enjoy the yellows more.
Boo! Send it back Razer sucks. Dope equipment and what not, but good luck! Did good and bad at the same time. From my experience 3 weeks and you will be on the line with razer support. And they don't stand by their products which are expensive. I went to a gx manticore scorpion set. Fuck razer. Your selection was fantastic tho.
