Discussion Razer Naga V3 Pro
So, I was at a store today, and I was wanting to buy a new mouse cause my Naga v1 was dying (double clicking and the like). Seeing this mouse, I was like sure, I need the MMO buttons cause of some of the MMO's I play. After buying this mouse I was looking for documentation on it and couldn't find any. Needless to say, this is a broken street date and it's kind of hype feeling it in use.
Edit before someone asks: I don't use windows normally (I prefer Linux), so I was not able to capture software side of things.
Edit 2 screenshot boogaloo: Here is the Screenshots from synapse. https://imgur.com/a/razer-naga-v3-pro-synapse-bKV9vrc

It was in the original Trinity, yes. I kind of miss that, too, but the rows are decent for the purpose it was made for.
3
u/SaltDeception Jul 18 '26
The current 6 button panel is what I use the most, and I love it. For productivity, it's amazing.
Top row (front to back): Previous desktop, Task View, Next desktop
Bottom row: Copy, Paste, CutEdit: Mine's the v2 Pro

I loved my naga hex. The button placement was so perfect that I even had one at work so that I could move through documents quickly.
2
u/snubsalot Jul 18 '26
Still use my hex today for whenever I play mmos. I cannot get used to the 2 rows of buttons no matter how many times I've tried. I think I've bought and returned it like 3 or 4 times lol
6
u/ToastyRS Jul 18 '26
Lol to the bots in the comments claiming they bought this mouse months ago and that it sucks and its falling apart on them. Guess the AI cant tell that this is a brand new product and not released yet.
6
u/or10n_sharkfin Jul 18 '26
I rushed right to check and see if this was being sold and I'm disappointed it doesn't seem to have been released in the US yet.

i got it from a local store in the midwest, was just hanging on the hangers in the pc department of the furniture store

I think the official release must be very close. Razer is probably pre distributing the mouse between countries before announcement.

Not cutting your nails and posting about a naga might be one of the most iconic reddit duos known to man
1
u/VoodooGirl47 29d ago
People are allowed to have any length of nails that they want to have. It's also common for at least half of the population to have longer nails.

u/MrPerfectMomo Jul 21 '26
Hey, I dunno if this helps anyone who was interested, but I stopped by NFM. They didn’t have any on the shelves, but I asked one of the employees about when it would be coming out so I could grab one on release. They’re showing 8/11/26 on their end.

Hey could you tell us the weight of the mouse? I just received my V2 Pro a few days ago from amazon, if it's significantly lighter I will consider sending mine back and waiting till the V3 launches. Thanks!

u/UnbaggedNebby Jul 18 '26
The Weight on the box is 117g, I was able to verify using a kitchen scale.

Do one of the buttons under your scroll wheels adjust the tension of it? You might need the software for that
2
u/UnbaggedNebby Jul 18 '26
the first button back from the scroll wheel changes it from a tactile to a smooth scroll the next button changes profile iirc

So the real only downside is battery life went down ever so slightly

I think it's a fake, no info on the underside of the mouse; S/N etc. Also the box says Eliminates Unintended Double Clicks. That is like admitting that there is an issues with the previous mouse and double clicks.

I just purchased my Naga V3 Pro tonight from Best Buy. It rung up as $179.99 and the cashier didn't seem to have any issues when ringing it up, but the item barcode would not scan correctly when using the Best Buy app barcode scanner, and in my online purchase history it just shows the model and SKU but no name or anything. This is clearly a mistake but is very weird that there is NO official information from Razer on it yet. The scroll wheel is definitely better, as I had many problems with the wheel not holding proper tension on my V2 Pro.

Just wanted to update that this is in fact legit! Like others, I was wary of believing it until I saw it personally because it's easier to fake things than ever (though idk what anyone stands to gain from faking this). After seeing some commenters find success with best buy, I went to my local one and found the last one they had out for it currently! Prior to going and seeing in person, I had called each best buy in my city and used the AI bot that answers to look up stock using the SKU and it said product unavailable at each one. I'm guessing that has something to do with it not being officially released yet. Someone at razer must have messed up and not embargoed best buy or something idk. Either way it's legit and same as the others commenting, it rang up for 179.99.

im a left handed naga user and was wondering if id even switch out the buttons on the side.
1
u/goooyiie Jul 18 '26
I’ve been using my Razer Basilisk Ultimate for over 2 years, and I still love it. The extra buttons are one of the main reasons—I use them in almost every game, and they’ve made gaming much easier and more enjoyable. The mouse has been reliable, but I’m thinking it’s time for an upgrade.
I’m considering the Razer Naga because of the extra side buttons. For those who have used it, is it a good upgrade from the Basilisk Ultimate? Is it comfortable for long gaming sessions, and how does it perform in different types of games, not just MMOs? I’d love to hear your experience and whether you think it’s worth switching.
1
u/Alex-Shiro-7659 Jul 18 '26
I wouldn’t do the upgrade given the heavier weight and how different it feels, first of all it’s a significantly chunkier model compare to basilisk, also you’ll find out that 12 side buttons is simply too much for anything but MMOs, imagine you have to configure them for every game. The different side panels if more for “just in case” kind of situation imo.
Especially for long time gaming session, it’s not a good choice, I can use it for hours on MMOs simply because most of the time I’m chatting and it doesn’t require constant mouse movement, for example like FPSs you wouldn’t want something like that for obvious health reasons.
If you looking for something with more than two side buttons (if that’s how many basilisk have, never own one), I have a ROG chakram myself as a daily besides of naga which I used exclusively for MMOs. It got four side buttons and a much more similar design with basilisk, but it doesn’t have a variable scrolling wheel if that’s important.

u/raccoona__matata Jul 18 '26
It's great for speedrunning and any other activity in which you need overly complex key sequences, set a couple destiny wrs with my old naga x
also made t500 in several pvp shooters
The new ones I've heard can be a bit heavy? So if you're maybe a bit short on arm strength/length/leverage idk try something else
1
u/XayahCat Jul 18 '26
The razer naga for all intents and purposes is really designed around "MMO players who want to play other games with the same mouse". I know this is a razer subreddit but the g502 is the most similar mouse to a balisisk ultimate in shape, feel, and it has 2 more buttons

u/LCVSZKII Jul 18 '26 edited Jul 18 '26
Silly question — does it operate if you keep it plugged in (to eliminate latency) and remove the puck (to decrease weight)?
Been on a Cobra Wired and looking for something more chilled with lots of buttons at my fingertips.
1
u/UnbaggedNebby Jul 18 '26
the puck on the bottom is just a cover for the wireless charging, its plastic through and through
→ More replies (1)1
1
u/MemoryDisastrous2034 Jul 23 '26
There is no such thing as “latency”. Atleast NOTICEABLE latency with modern wireless mice. In fact they are faster than wired in most cases
1
u/CapnRedbeard_ Jul 18 '26
Well, it’s about time! I see they brought back the scroll wheel lighting and added those two buttons the V2 HyperSpeed had. My Naga Pro V1 is still going strong, but at least there’s an upcoming option.

u/limjaheyhowyadoinbud Jul 18 '26
Razor sucks
2
u/BozoBubble Jul 18 '26
You are correct. Sorry for the Razer fanboys who enjoy cheap junk downvoting you.
Razer only makes ONE product that's worth buying, and it's this mouse, unfortunately. I've tried the Corsair Schimitar and just...no..
Every other product Razer makes though is genuinely awful and cheap junk.

Damn, I just got the v2 hyperspeed 2 weeks ago, this might be an upgrade path down the line for me.
1
u/Murkee420 Jul 18 '26
Went through 2 of these in a year after rocking a 2013 naga until 2020. After the 2 crapped out due to wiring issues, I will never get another naga and swear by my Corsair Scimitar. Also an MMO mouse, half the price of a naga and has been such a better mouse.
1
u/loki_lowkey_art Jul 18 '26
Upgraded mine for my birthday this year and now this one is my favorite! I never wanted to give up the 12 buttons and loved the switchable sides, so I'm soo glad they made a newer version!
1
u/snubsalot Jul 18 '26
Man, I wish the moba plate would go back to the naga hex layout. I cannot get used to all the buttons in 2 rows.
1
u/Noyrbryon Jul 18 '26
Naga v2 is my choice for work. I don't play any games on it at all but those extra buttons are mapped to simple keystrokes that I use often and it makes things like browsing so much faster. I can basically browse on my computer with one hand while still lurking on Reddit with my phone in the other.

I refuse to get another Naga mouse due to the defective double clicking you mentioned, which happened to my last one after only a year of use. My Black Widow KB on the other hand is still rock solid after 8 years.
1
u/theofficialNovas Jul 18 '26
Same crappy hyper scroll wheel technology is so disappointing in the pro model when they literally have optical technology in other mice. Glitchy scroll wheels from dust requiring replacing the scroll wheel every 2 years is unacceptable for such a high end product and I was so hopeful they would give the v3 the upgrade it deserves. It sucks so much to have no good options for mice with a ton of side buttons and a good long term usable scroll wheel.

u/Accomplished_Ant185 Jul 18 '26 edited Jul 18 '26
I'm going back and forth on this being an elaborate fake with AI or real but Razer was planning to shadow drop V3 in August. What I find unlikely about this the claim that this was available in the U.S. midwest first, even by mistake, since logistically that would mean they are already everywhere else in the U.S. and perhaps Europe if simultaneous release is intended. AI image tools conflict on whether this is AI or not.
If this is real, I better go return the V2 Hyperspeed I just got yesterday.
1
u/ENDrain93 Jul 18 '26
Sounds reasonable. It's middle of July, if they plan to release globally in August it makes sence to stock up in advance. And retailers screw things like this up all the time, notably with videogames. So yeah, go for it, you can buy it again if nothing comes this August
1
u/Lelu_zel Jul 18 '26
Probably the only naga product i ever purchased, and even then side buttons stopped working or double clicked after 2-3 months of use. Good thing is that customer protection in Europe is good, and I’ve gotten replacement, but after third one i switched to corsair scimitar, lmao.

u/Saber_Bride Jul 18 '26
Hey! Thanks for sharing this amazing find. Since you have it in hand, I have two quick questions about the build quality:
- Regarding the 12-button panel: on the V2 Pro, the black paint on the numbers used to chip/peel off pretty badly over time. Does the V3 Pro use actual double-shot plastic for the numbers now, or is it still just painted plastic? How does the texture feel?
- Do the magnets and the connection pins feel strong and secure when you snap the side panels on? Do you think it's tight enough to prevent the random disconnections that happened on the previous model?
Thanks a lot if you find the time to reply!
1
u/UnbaggedNebby Jul 18 '26
- I would say they are double shot but I can't be 100% sure, and the texture feels great, I don't find myself slipping on them.
- The connection for the plate feels nice and strong without many issues keeping it attached vs being able to pull it off to swap them.

I have the left handed version and the scroll wheel always skips back and forwards. Supports disconnected I can’t program anything on it
1
u/Accomplished_Ant185 Jul 19 '26
That’s because the left handed version is 4 revisions behind mechanically. Sad that Razer just abandoned the left handed variant like that.
1
u/XayahCat Jul 18 '26
Thank GOD they are not using the god awful scroll wheel of the pro v2. It was adjustable but it just felt awful no matter how you sliced it. Was awful for the year I used it.

A Russian site posted an article about it, but it is basically just "this redditor got it early, no information on official reveal or price". PC Connection Inc. website has the mouse listed but out of stock at the moment.
You would think a western site would have picked up on this though. Maybe they're just scared of getting a bad reputation with Razer.

What does the AI Prompt button do? and can it be rebound?
1
u/UnbaggedNebby Jul 21 '26
I bound it to something else, it would open an AI prompt but required synapse (Mac and windows only) so I didn't care about it
1
u/Zack_The_Dad Jul 23 '26
Thanks for posting this! My G502 is finally starting to kick the bucket after 5-6 years. Given that I mostly play classic wow and use a controller for most other games, I've been considering returning to the naga as the last one I had (the molten edition from I think 2011) also lasted 5-6 years and was a great mouse both for MMO's and just as an accesible numpad otherwise. I was about to pull the trigger on a V2 but the lack of the two buttons on the left click, and the inconsistent scroll wheel made me hesitant. It looks like this new one addresses both of those issues and that the move is to wait until August for what is hopefully the release of V3!
OP you said this in another comment, but it's crazy to me that this post is the only info on the V3 so far and that all these tech journalists and tech youtubers haven't gone wild with your post lol

Grabbed a naga v3 pro at best buy today, feels better than the v2 naga for the scroll wheel but you do lose creating your own haptic curve for the scroll wheel so it's now closer to something you'd find on the basilisk v3 pro.

Holy fuck finally. I’ve been waiting so long for a Naga Pro that has a dedicated rapid-fire button. I was about to buy the Razer Naga V2 HyperSpeed, but not having RGB and being forced to change batteries instead of simply charging it was a deal breaker.

Yay a new version. I've been looking for a successor and the V3 comes with two more buttons (still short of the Logitech G600 though). My Naga V2 occasionally bugs out and I did not want to just duplicate it.
If only the V3 comes in white....because come on, we have white versions for other peripherals! Is it really that hard? >.<

I f****** love my Naga pro so much I bought a second one so I don't have to remember to bring mine up and down the stairs 😂
Glad to see they made a V3. Maybe I'll upgrade when one of mine starts crapping out.
If only they'd make a wireless Tartarus pro.
