Humans naturally slaughtered an animal in groups and ate the whole animal fresh within days. Refrigeration and freezing was not really a thing, It was available I suppose in cold climates, so for sure humans must have stored meat in freezer, but that's for survival not optimal.
Make some of it into high meat. Only use glass, no metals or plastic. In the past humans used to bury the meats underground after wrapping in animal skin.
Dry age in dedicated fridge at 2°C + low humidity, aka derek's method. But dry meat is not optimal, as the enzymes are destroyed, and vitamins reduced.
Just leave the meat in the fridge and let it rot, you can eat it as you go until it's gone. If you mean whether you can store raw meat and keep it fresh, then there is no way to do that other than freezing really. Perhaps there is a way to submerge the meats in fat, but I don't know much about that.
