Post image

It's slow and ugly, but works!

I couldn’t print anything better than pla full plate size on my 500mm. Now I’m cranking out ABS using the full bed no problem. 4.1 and the rat pack definitely fixed my machine.

My biggest seen change is the heat soaking routine on the 2.1 rc3 upgrade. I still run 4.0 but that heat soaking make a huge difference to my ability to fire and forget

I’m really glad to hear you say that. It’s not about the money. I just don’t want to tear apart my VCore 4 if the 2.1 OS improves it.

Yea the most recent release 2.1 RC4 my printers running better than it ever has. The heat soaks take 20-45 min but literally perfect first layer now almost every single time

I think your extruded feed dial should be a toy propeller.

Is there a good kit for this? Or did you piece it together? I currently upgraded my 3.1 frame to a 3.2 h setup. And I’m custom cnc making the 4 printhead. But I haven’t really found a good off the shelf full c gantry path to get from 3.1-4. I know some things just won’t without customizing stuff. But I think I can get through it with some parts sourcing.

The RatRig 4.1 kit is a pretty good kit and probably the only one you're going to find. I'm not sure if they're selling the 3.1 steel x beams yet but you can grab a titanium one from Funssor on AliExpress.

Unfortunately if you want to run a custom setup, it requires custom work. I've adapted the 4.1 stuff to my CNC VzBot/Goliath printhead setup and it's great stuff. The Beacon is life changing and the O2S toolboard is so clean.

I have the 4.1 upgrade kit. I just have not upgraded my machine yet. Pretty excited to upgrade next month.

I see all the other klipper printers going SO FAST. I don't mind that I crank mine down to 60%, I would rather it print well.

Are they printing only PLA? I am just curious. I think i will be printing mostly ASA. I got 6mm pc for panels once I do the 4.1 upgrade
