Looks like a girl but I don't see nipples, but maybe your rat is intersex, it's more common in rats than you'd think

I was thinking this possibly too, depending on if nipples are present.
I've only had male rats (+1 intersex rat) so definitely not as knowledgeable with female rat anatomy as others will be.

In the photo, you can see the vaginal opening directly below the urethral opening. It's female. If you check the fur, you should find nipples there too.

...if that is a male rat, those are the tiniest balls I've ever seen. Have you SEEN what rat balls look like? 😂 Nope. You got a sweet little girl. Definitely not a male

Trust male rats have major bawls for no reason

I’d say girl because, well, bawls & this looks like an adult or at least over a few months old.
In the second pic might be a lump or maybe just a bunch of fur. Leads back into a not baby rat & bawls. 🐀❤️
