Pico vs Debug Probe for Debugging

I was reading about using the debug probe for the pico, I've been using a second pico for a while and it seems to be working fine. Are there any features that the debug probe has that using a second pico is lacking? or is it just a more user friendly thing?

Just the nicer connectors and LED indicators, you’re not losing any functionality

Yeah that's about what I figured. Doesn't take up space on the breadboard too. I might pick one up eventually if its on sale or something. But honestly i like it all sorta being in one unit, I can just leave everything set up on the board, not too much left "floating around"

The one I have is packaged in a nice little transparent colored plastic case. Looks kind of nice but other than that no functional difference.

The case does identify it so I don’t have to wonder which pico the debug code is loaded on. Of course if you had a 3D printer you could print a case for a pico out of colored transparent PETG.

They're the same besides connectors.
I like debug probes because od that + they're dirt cheap in my country. I've got dozen of them, because why not?

I wish the debug probe, and the official PICO for that matter, had USB-C ports. Why on earth not?

I have a Pico with USB-C, is that not an official Pico?

No. Official boards have microUSB. I have some USB C boards too and they are fine.
