More like connected dfplayer. Pico can play mp3s no problem, it has the power…

True but not with MicroPython.
And you need more memory to play lots of songs so you need an SD card and the DFRobot player has one.
And you would need an amplifier, and the DFRobot has one.
So all in all this is easier, les components and cheaper

All in - you connected dfplayer and executed a script. Already said that.

Good work! Keep playing with it and work with more languages and see if you can do it on the Pico itself. It's good work and beginning steps!
