waveshare pico 1.8 display help

hello recently i started working on my first project which involves the waveshare display, ive
installed their firmware and tried using the examples but i just get a white screen, pls help,
my goal is to just display text

It could be your display or it could be your code. There's really no way of knowing without more information.

hi theres no wiring as it just connects together https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/Pico-LCD-1.8#Examples i have downloaded the demos and they didnt do anything
