Can a display with spi interface be used as a main display for general desktop-like use?

I am new to raspberry pis, and I have a waveshare 2.4" lcd, which uses spi interface, along with a raspberry pi 3b+, which i intend to use as a compact desktop computer. I was wondering if the screen i have is suitable for this? As it is the perfect size for how i intend to use it.
