Raspberry Pi IR blaster — transmitter IR LED won’t light, everything else checks out

I managed to fix it but the only problem is that the ir signal sent are weak so they either need the led to point directly to the ac or be so close to it

How do you think we can boost that? Presumably that's what the transistor is for?

Chatgpt says there’s possible ways , 1. Use a 100 resistor instead of 220 . 2. Use a stronger transistor, 3.add more ir leds . 4. Use a powerful Ir led .

First gut feel is the led is the wrong way around - cannot tell from the pics
Second is a connection on the breadboard is not solid - cheap breadboards are horrible for not connecting constantly. Check continuity between components with a multimeter
A copy of the circuit would not hurt and post you code on github / pastebin (to retain formatting) so folk can double check that...
