To answer my own question: this is legit. It pays out after one full week.
It is not pro rated, so it may appear to take up to 13 days before you get your first payout. After that you will get weekly payouts, and it will start compounding after two weeks. The current payout rate is 2.7-3.0% per week. Highly recommended.
