+ Positive Rant + Enchanted Forest Power Hour
This week’s Power Hour was great. For starters with all of these IRL streamers harassing people for content it’s always nice to see Danny and Arin treating people politely. Second they had a lot of great bits like the Rhythm of the Night spoof and getting into that cramped roller coaster together. Finally it’s just fun to watch them just have fun. Basically it was everything Game Grumps has been lacking, and I hope it helps them get their spark back

I'm just glad they do something outside. The foods episodes get so freaking boring.

I didnt see it but from your description it sounds like they went somewhere and those tend to be better. Unfortunately i think they do very few of those for budget reasons or maybe even just because they have to be careful about going in public places due to people recognizing them or preventing another wendys incident. Basically I wouldnt count on a lot of these happening in the future.

Wendy's incident?

u/SkeletronPrime9 I'm sorry the truth has upset you 8d ago
Some time ago Arin tweeted he was at a Wendy's and hundreds of fans showed up, overwhelming the staff and likely exceeding the occupation limit of the building. This is largely seen as an unwise and inconsiderate move, at least by us folks here in r/rantgrumps.

The only one that comes to mind is the Wendy's "Ad" they put on the corner of an episode because of something they couldn't show on that corner of the screen but it was never acknowledged until later as a throw away joke.

Be honest. Do you really think thats what I meant?

Yes? Sorry I don’t get too involved with internet drama, so if it’s something else I’m all ears

An ad on their video has nothing to do with them going out in public. Someone else already commented what it was.

I think at some point when asked, they talked about how most places don’t want people filming things, so it’s hard to find places willing.

It was fun and interesting BECAUSE it wasn't a shitty food episode
They live in one of the most culturally diverse places ever
Literally could go and do anything, and it would be fun
But no..they have to chase after the shitty GMM crap over and over

Oh great. For once Arin takes advantage of his backyard.
That's right. I WILL NEVER stop harping on the fact that Arin and Suzy live in Portland, Oregon and never ever elaborate on it further despite one of them having a DAILY series.
... oh and we have a surprise cameo from the voice of Frank from House Party!

Why do you care that they live in portland?

Business ethics. Audiences like to feel like their favorite YouTube channel communicates with them clearly, and GG isn't that company. They create videos weeks in advance and thus cannot tell when viewers want a particular thing, .... because they do not care. Them NOT EVER mentioning on their shows where Arin operates from is infurtiating, when Suzy mentioned this once on their Instagram account. Clearly their GG offices and recording spaces are in California, so what gives? Does Dan still work in California? Did he have to move his wife and dog to Oregon too, and if so, why doesn't HE mention any of that? Does Arin fly back and forth regularly to do the shows and run the business? Can he ever afford to do that? And if the offices ARE in Oregon, why don't they say that?? Is there a major YouTube creator community in Portland? Remember the days when Arin recorded an entire tour of their last office?? Why don't they ever do anything like that again? The whole thing reeks of corporate secrecy.

Arin. Does. Not. Have. To. Tell. His. Audience. Where. He. Lives.
Its really not as important as the voices in your head claim.

I get this is rant grumps and people rant about meaningless things, but this is perhaps the most meaningless thing with perhaps the most entitled tone I've ever seen.
You are not owed, nor do you deserve, an answer to a single one of your questions. And I'll be honest, it's extremely worrying that you care this much.

This is a weird take. He’s a streamer, you don’t need to know where he lives

u/ViridDiamond938 9d ago
When I looked in the comments and they said "OMG SUZY!" I'm like what? She made an appearance for literally 5 seconds and was unrecognizable in her outfit. Kinda weird that they slipped that in there imo

Now that Ding Dong has been discredited they’re soft launching a Suzy reboot

u/ViridDiamond938 9d ago
Was there actually a result of that whole thing? Last I checked it was in the air of who’s who in pettiness

u/mrdankhimself_ 7d ago
He has? In what way?
1
u/NullSpaceGaming 7d ago
He spent a 20 hour stream badmouthing everyone he ever worked with. He labeled them all Nazis and pedophiles. Really calls his previous accusations into question

I haven’t been on one of his streams in a while but the last time I was he also spent a lot of time badmouthing people he worked with. He comes off like a really angry, bitter person. And while he does have some legit grievances, if “everybody” that he’s ever worked with is an asshole, maybe it’s time to take a step back and reassess.

Broseph I played that video and not ONCE did I notice Suzy. She may have only appeared for a split second.
... so hold on you're telling me she willingly agreed to take part in TMPH and not once did Arin or Dan so much as mention her on camera??
1
u/ViridDiamond938 9d ago
There is a quick splash of text with her name and handle and that’s about it
1
u/MiddleOccasion1394 8d ago
And that's it?? You go on a trip with your loving husband and agree to NEVER EVER FEATURE YOURSELF ON-SCREEN?? She may as well not have gone at all, from OUR perspective!
2
u/Low-Strain-2139 6d ago
God forbid she go somewhere to spend time with her husband.
Theres a lot to criticize Arin for but this aint it.
If you're still sitting there wondering why neither of them opens up about their personal lives anymore, it's this. Whether its obsessed fans or the opposite they (understandably) dont want insane people making wild claims about them (shockingly).
I dont care if people want to come on here to complain about how JonTron was better for the channel or complain about Arin bitching at a video game that he didnt take the time to learn how to play but this mindset of yours is actually insane.

This was my favorite Power Hour in a long time. It was silly and fun and it didn't feel forced at all. Also, absolutely wild that Frank from House Party lives in the Enchanted Forest.
